   Welcome to
  Betty's Haven

This is my grandson when he was little. He is
listening to grandma's cassette tape player.
He and I had a great time listening to music
and dancing around the room. He would also
sit on my lap and I would tell him stories.
Some were true stories about family and
some were make believe kids stories.
Here is a poem I wrote in 1988 written
about him. He was born in 1984.
Memories
Savor every moment,
The things you hold dear...
While holding him close,
As you talk of yester-year...

Days gone by
In a different time...
Stories told to him,
Sound mighty fine...

Memories you're making
For him to tell...
Later in life,
They'll ring like a bell...

Out of his past,
When he was a boy...
A glimpse of grandma,
Filled with joy..

The stories she told him,
Will only be a part...
He will also remember,
The love from her heart....

Time goes by
With so much haste...
The moments you have,
You should not waste...

So hold him close,
Everytime that you can...
Because all too soon,
He will be a man.....
