Betty's Haven
 My Hinds Family
Mollie Hinds Parson
Born 3-1872 in AR. She came to Indian Territory with her parents and her daughter, Ina, which is my grandmother. Ina was just a small girl when they moved to Indian Territory. They lived Southeast of Braggs. Later Mollie married Johnson Parson. They lived East of Braggs for awhile then around Pettit, OK. She died in 1911 and is buried in Levi Cookson cemetery in the Pettit area.
Fate Hinds
Born 4-19-1880 in AR. He came to Indian Territory along with his parents and family about 1893-94. He married my aunt Henryetta Dunback, sister to my grandfather, Lewis Sanders. They all lived East of Braggs near each other. The Sanders and Hinds. William and Mary lived about a mile from Lewis Sanders, my grandpa on my dad's side.  Uncle Fate Hinds and Frank Hinds families lived just a short distance from Lewis Sanders.
Frank and Addie Hinds
Born 1-25-1882 and 1885 both in AR
Frank moved to Indian Territory with his parents. Addie moved to Indian Territory with her parents, William and Martha Ella James.
Frank Hinds was a farmer and lived East of Braggs. Addie worked in the fields right along with him. They lived on the old William Hinds and Mary Hinds place with Mary for awhile after William died. Daisy, daughter of Frank and Addie told me about them living there. They lived there when her little brother Floyd Hinds died. Daisy told me about an old cow named, "Pied" that they had. She wouldn't let a man milk her so her dad, Frank Hinds dressed up in one of Addie's dresses and wrapped a rag around his head like Addie did and that old cow let him milk her! She said one time her dad came in the house with milk all over from that cow kicking the milk out. She said that was the kickingest cow!
