This wonderful picture by Jennifer Bidlingmeyer has an interesting story behind it... When she was young, her mother sang to her the lullaby that begins "Hush little baby, don't say a word..." When the song reached the verse about the looking glass, she wasn't sure what the aforementioned item was. Eventually she determined that it must be a glass jar to set on your dresser, used for keeping your dreams so that you could look at them during the day. She never wanted a looking glass of her own, though, for fear that it would break and shatter her dreams... It was this that she thought of as she drew this picture. You can visit her web page here.
