We showed Morgan our plans for the brothers' new song, and she loved it! We tried more ideas for the chorus, but we kept going back to Taylor's "MMMBop" idea. We had half of the song written when Claire and Christen called. I was in deep thought at that very moment, and the phone interrupted my daydreaming. I was thinking about what Taylor had said and the way he had looked at me. It made me feel uncomfortable. He had never looked at me that way and I had known him all my life. I thought we had a sister and brother kind of relationship. But I had always wanted more. Now that we were both 14, I was beginning to think that he wanted more too. Then my thoughts returned to the phone call. Taylor was saying how it was no use for Christen and Claire to come over, because Morgan and I would probably be going home for dinner soon anyway. Then he hung up. After that, Morgan asked Taylor and I if we wanted to go out for pizza. I had to be home, and Taylor said he had some other things to do. Soon, Morgan walked home, and me and Taylor were left alone in the Hansons' large living room.
"Well, I better get going, Taylor."I said.
"No, stay, please."said Taylor.
"But Taylo.....,"I started.
"Shhhhh...,"he interrupted putting his finger to my lips and closing them,"Call me Tay." Then, he kissed my cheek and I walked home feeling like every single star in the sky was shining for me.
