THE BEGINING:
The coolest thing has happened to me---I am going to a Hanson concert!!!!!!!!!! I have one word, and you can quote me on this one
"AAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
I can't belive it!! It is going to be soooooooooo awesome!! But let me tell you how it all happened...........
My dad woke me up at 8:30 on July 17 and dropped this piece of paper on my bed that said this:
Hanson Hershey Park August 15 717-693-4100
Well I was half asleep and had no clue what he was talking about so I went out and asked him. He told me Hanson was doing a concert at Hershey Park on August 15 and tickets went on sale at 9 that morning. I shreiked really loud and practically tackled my dad my hugging him. I just HAD to call Lindsey and tell her. When I did her mom said she was asleep and I told her to wake her up. She did and when I told Lindsey the news, she was speechless (that's and first!). Then she got all hyper and freaked out. We both decided to call at 9 and see what happened..................
Guess what. We all called. We all got through. We all found out we had to wait till the next day to buy tickets. Or we could get on the 'Net and get them today. My dad called my uncle and gave him his credit card number so he could try and get them too. I sat restlessly for the next couple hours before I could on the 'Net.
When it was time to get on the computer my dad and I were ready. I typed and my dad clicked around. We got good seats, but then the transaction wasn't complete and we ended up with horrible seats. THEN my uncle called and my dad talked to him first. When my dad started grinning and going "You really got them? 8 tickets?" I started screaming and jumping up and down. I ran from one end of the house to the other freaking out and shouting. I flew to the phone to call Lindsey. She flipped. We both screamed. Then when I hung up I really did tackle my dad hugging him. Then my mom called because she wanted to know if we got them and I said I had the best dad in the whole world. She laughed and asked who's money he was paying with. So I had to change it. I have the best PARENTS in the whole world!!!! My mom, my sister, my niece Stephanie, Lindsey, her mom and dad, her brother, and I are all going to see Hanson!!!!!
Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! And when we come back, I will give you all the details!!
HANSON DAY:
Yipee!! Yahoo!! Yeah!! I just got back from the concert. Here are the details:p> We got to Hershey Park a little before it opened. The parking lot was really full. We saw the stadium, and figured out where our seats were, which was a real disappoinment. We were in the back. But the day went on, and just about everyone we saw had on a Hanson shirt. Stephanie and I were still eager for the concert to begin. There were all kinds of rumors that Hanson would be in the park. Get this: we stood outside the gate of ride for a HALF HOUR cause Hanson was supposedly riding it. Well they weren't, but we were so excited we didn't care. Then, when we caught up with Lindsey and her family, we chased a park vehicle and kept bugging the lady about whether or not Hanson was gonna be in the park. After awhile we got it through our heads that she meant what she said (she said no). Finally, when it was 6:00,(2hr. till the concert) we got our Hanson shirts on and went over to the stadium to buy some stuff. I got a shirt and a Hanson tag thing that is cool because it could hook on to anything, not necessarily the Hanson tag. Anyways, when we got in line and gave the guy our tickets, I nervously clutched my homemade poster and we went to find our seats. I flipped. We weren't in the back--we were in the middle!! We had some pretty good seats and the binoculars made it real easy to see. When Lindsey got there there was only about and hour to go. The crowd was HUGE and LOUD. But who cared? We were keeping it loud by screaming every time a stage crew person came out!! Then Hanson got off their tour bus, and the crowd that was on the lawn literally SWELLED over towards where they were. But the securtity guards were pretty firm!
Hanson's opening act was Admiral Twin. They played some alternative music. I mean they were okay, but I wouldn't buy their CD. Anyways, when they announced their LAST song the whole crowd just shrieked with excitement. They thought we were cheering for them. Sorry, guys, but we want Hanson. Oh, well anyways, when they left, a cloth was dropped in front of the stage so no one could see what was happening. The guy said that it would be about 25 minutes until Hanson came out. And every time there was a little move, there was a huge scream from the crowd. Now that I think about it, we actually waited 45 minutes. But really, at a Hanson concert it seems like 2 minutes!! When Hanson finally came out I screamed really loud. I grabbed the binoculars and I saw Zac. I started screaming, "Oh my gosh! I saw my Zac!! Oh good lord I saw Zac!!" They played 14 of their own songs, including their new one Ever Lonely. They also performed some other songs that weren't theirs, but it was still soooo cool. Whenever Zac sang I screamed, "My baby! My baby is singing!! My Zac baby sang that!!" And they even dedicated A Minute Without You to us!! Oh, okay, so they dedicated it to the people on the bleachers. But it seemed like it was to us! :-) Oh, and Zac had these light stick things that they were selling and I think after that they were sold out in 10 minutes!! At one point Zac did this little drumroll thing in between these songs and he did it like 3 times because there was so much screaming for it. We were screaming and clapping and swaying. I never sat down. Then at about 10:30 they said they were leaving, but the crowd started screaming "HANSON, HANSON!" so they came back on and did an encore. They sang Summertime Blues and they let the crowd sing the chourus to it. It was soooooo awesome. And about 20 people who had stood beside us had left so we moved down alot further on the bleachers. We kinda had a better view. But I had a final satisfaction to it. We left the stadium, half deaf and with almost a total voice loss. After saying bye to Lindsey(well I think we said bye, we might have still been screaming and in shock), Steph, mom, Lacey and I went to find my dad. When we did, Stephanie goes, "Isn't that Zac?" I look, and Zac and Taylor are walking across the bleachers getting on a bus! But that's not it. Me, Steph, and this other girl were waving at all the buses and stuff that came in when we were standing by the side of the road. AND WE ARE ALMOST POSITIVE THAT WAS ONE WE WAVED TO!! I MIGHT HAVE BEEN WAVING TO ZAC!!! Oh my gosh, he could've waved back!! I guess I'll never know (exactly where this river's gonna flow--sorry, couldn't resist). It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome!!!! I HAVE to go to another one SOON!! Hanson, if you're reading this, come to Buffalo!! My dad promised me that if Hanson came to Buffalo that he would camp outside Ticketmaster and get us front row seats. :-)
