The Randman Curse

For generations the Randmans have owned a thick 200-acre patch of forest, and for generations the Randmans have taken advantage of the power their wealth and status allowed them. Slowly, their selfish and evil ways have led them and their loved ones to destructions. Rare is there a story about the Randmans that does not include eventual death and demise, and the small town of Vineland, NJ knows all the stories too well.

So when Robert Randman is found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the back of his head after murdering his enemy in charge of a business draining money from his own, the good people of Vineland remain unsurprised.

Years after the tragedy, his daughter, Alexis or "Lexy" to those who know her well, must pick up the pieces of her life and work to provide for the remaining members of her family. However, while protecting her land from unwanted poachers, running the family business, and keeping the media off of her property, even stranger things begin to happen in the Randman forest.

A birdbath in Alexis' front yard is smashed to pieces in the form of a message. Portraits are torn off her walls. A spring of blood surged forth from the ground. As ghosts of the Randman forest become unignorable, Alexis finds herself in the focal point of their communication. But should she encourage their activity in order to discover secrets beyond her reach? Or in doing so, will she open doors to an ancient curse that as a mere mortal she has no way of closing?
