I inflected pain in life.

So life retaliated by inflecting pain on me.

I cheated and stealed,

So life retaliated by cheating me and stealing my lifelyhood for awhile.

I was cruel to people,

So life retaliated by being cruel to me.

Now I give out love,

And Life retaliates, by giving me the love of a woman I can't be with?
