Epilogue

A week later, Bria sat on her bed with her laptop heating her shorts clad legs. She was instant messaging with her new boyfriend Zac Hanson. She still couldn't believe she could say that. They had returned back to their home only a couple of hours ago, and already she missed him to death.
She was pleased with how the week had gone. The next day, Bria and Zac didn't even have to ask Taylor about what he thought of Lily, he wasted no time putting the moves on her. Bria had to admit it hurt some to be dropped like a hot potato like that, but just thinking about Zac made it all better. He'd spent the rest of the stay in her room. That Wednesday night, they all had sat together with big bowls of popcorn while they watched Bria's pilot episode of 'Desert Fire', and recieved rave reviews from her friends. Her parents had called and congratulated her. She liked the feeling Zac gave her, when she knew how amazed he was to see his girlfriend on a popular t.v. show. He hadn't let her go all night. Thursday night they had all gone out and celebrated with a nice dinner at one of Bria's favorite places. Friday, the three of them visited Lily at work and had a blast. For the first time in her life, Bria had been called by her character name on the streets and in the club, and only a couple girls approached her for her boyfriend and his brother's picture and autograph. Overall it was a great night. Saturday morning they had left early, and Bria had spent the morning moping around her apartment. Until there was a knock on her door. She typed to Zac she'd be back in ten.
"Justin! Hey! How did the video go?" Did he come straight from the airport?
"Good. I think it would have been better if you'd been in it, miss popularity." He smiled and leaned into her. "I heard your show went well. I tivoed it and watched it on the flight back. You did great."
"Thanks." She gave him a smile, but didn't take a step back out of her doorway as an invitation.
"So have you watched the movie we made?"
"Not yet. I've been really busy." Honestly, she didn't have the desire to watch it now. She had actually thought about burning over it, she just hadn't had any time with Zac around.
Justin stood on his toes and looked around her apartment. "Your roommate home? 'Cause, I watched it alot when I wasn't shooting, and it made me hot." He smiled slowly at her. Then it occurred to her what he was really saying. Zac, remember Zac! She pasted a small smile on her face while she tried not to concentrate on his suggested variations of the original, plus ideas for "other" movies. How could she get out of this without a)sleeping with him again, b)cheating, even slightly on Zac, and, c)not let the movie get on the internet because he gets pissed. Again she was in the position where she had to think of something quick that would save the situation.
"You know Justin, I have a friend who was telling me her fantasies about you really close to those situations..." she trailed off, pretending to muse. She knew that most guys, all they were after was getting laid, and maybe even how many. They had only slept together once, had no romantic moments, and she knew, at least for her, there was no chemical connection. She was hoping that just because they'd done it that one time that this was just another booty call. And again with the distractions. She brought her eyes to his as he raised an eyebrow.
"You don't want to fuck me again?" There was a hint of icy anger in his voice.
"It's not that. You're an amazing lay, but I have lines to rehearse, and I don't want to leave you hanging-"
"Is she obsessed?" Bria laughed.
"No, but she's in the next building over. She was in my last modeling class, and I've gone against her for a few jobs. If I liked girls, I'd do her." She nodded in approval. "I can call her and let her know to expect you."
He was silent for a minute, studying her. She couldn't believe she was rejecting Justin Timberlake. Had anyone told her she'd be doing this a year ago, she'd have laughed in their face, then gone to find him and sleep with him just to prove otherwise. But now she had Zac, and that was a whole nother story.
"Alright, give her a call." He waited as she pulled her cell out of her pocked and searched for her number. She didn't really talk to her much, but they were aquantences. And that was enough for her. She thought Vessa would be pleasantly surprised with this phone call. She held the phone up to her ear as it wrang. "Vessa, it's Bria." She smiled at Justin. "Hi, good. You? Awesome. Hey, I have a friend here with me, and I was hoping you could do me a favor for tonight and entertain him." She paused, then laughed. "I know you- ah, yeah, you could say that. Take one guess....I know you're kidding, but I'm not....Really. I swear. Are you good? Okay, I'll send him over. I can send that too....Sure....No, not really. Believe me. Okay. Ten minutes. Bye." She shut her phone, then looked at Justin. "I have to get one thing to send over with you." She ran into her kitchen and pulled out a bottle of wine from her fridge, then went back to Justin and handed it to him. "Oh..." she dashed into her room, then returned with a pair of padded handcuffs. "My appologies." She gave it to him as his eyebrows raised. Bria only grinned. "Back downstairs, outside, take a left. Go into the next building and buzz 4C. Again, I'm sorry I have work-"
"It's okay. I should have called first. I'll see you around?"
"For sure. Let me know what you think of Vessa." He nodded, gave her a half smile, then turned and went to the elevator. She closed the door and slid down. She needed to call Lily. At least the path was clear for her and Zac. The only thing left was the distance.
