Chapter Fourteen
We walked out the front door, cut across the lawns and up to my front door. I look back at the line of six people behind me. Tay's first, then Zac, Isaac, Mackie, Jess, and Avie. I turn back and unlock the door and open it. I step inside and hold the door open.
"Come on in." Everybody files into the house and looks around. Isaac puts his hands to his face and says, "Darling! I love what you've done to the place!" In a fake English accent. We all laugh and I answered, "Thanks. My room's this way." I started up the staircase at the other end of the room. They all follow me up the stairs. At the top, " The first door on the left is my bathroom. The next door is my bedroom." I said, pointing to the bathroom, and when I got to my room, I put my hand on the doorknob.
"You have the whole upstairs for yourself?" Jess asked in envy.
"Yeah. My parents room and bathroom is bigger though." Iopen the door to my room and stand next to it, letting everybody by. Mackie ran for my bed and hurled himself on it.
"Big bed!" He shouted.
"Yeah." I smiled.
"Let me see your sweater." Jess asked. I went over to my closet and pulled it out to show her. While I was showing Jess and Avie my sweater, Tay went over to my c.d.'s and saw that every one was still in it's origional plastic except or 'Middle of Nowhere' and Mariah Carey c.d.'s. Isaac went over to my window across from them and pushed aside my curtains.
"You know, Tay, Zac and Love, that our windows are lined up perfectly with eachothers'"
"Really?!" Tay asked in excitement.
"Yeah." Isaac said. Zac sat on my bed and looked out my window into their room.
"Hey! You can see between our bunks beds and look at our c.d. player!" Zac exclaimed.
"Do you sing or dance Love?" Tay asked me.
"Yeah. I sing. That's what people have told me anyway."
"Can we hear you sing?" He asked, looking at me.
"Uhh, maybe later." I said a litle uneasilly. Too many people.
"Well, that'ds my room." I said, hoping to go shopping now.
"Zac, lets go play Lego's now." Mackie whined.
"Okay. Bye Love."
"Bye Zac. Bye Mackie."
"Bye Love." On Zac's way out, he pulled Jess and Avie with him.
"Bye Love!" Jess called. "I love your sweater!" She yelled from half way down the stairs.
"Bye Jess! Bye Avie!" I shouted after them. It was just me, Isaac and Tay left in my room.
