Rrrrriiiiinnnnggg!
"Oh my- what the- oh. It's the phone." I rolled over and answered. "Hello?"
"Lenora?"
"Yes?"
"It's Devon. I figured I'd better call now or I'd never get a hold of you."
"It's six in the morning!"
"I know, but I'm really excited about this party thing."
"Obviously. I'm glad you like the idea so much."
"I made a list of some of the people we should invite. Add any that you want. Okay-"
"When did you do this?"
"Last night."
"Oh."
"So anyway. I did two sections- party guests and musical guests. I figured they'd do their thing in a certain order, and then when they're done, or way before they perform, they could mingle in the crowd. It's just going to be famous people. It'll be very casual."
"Fine."
"So do you want to hear the musical acts or the guests first?"
"Um, guests, I guess."
"Okay. Scott Bairstow and Jonathan Taylor Thomas most deffinitely. Me, you, Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, Jordan Bower, Nadrew Keegan, Rachael Leigh Cook, and a few more just to start. Got any to add?"
"Not right off the top of my head- oh! Dane. Add him."
"Who's he?"
"Evan on Sahara Beach."
"Oh! Yeah. He's cool. Now for the music acts."
"Okay."
"Backstreet Boys, Robyn, Hanson, Usher, N' Sink- got any others?"
"Um, no."
"If I think of anybody else, I'll add them."
"Who's gonna supervise- will there be anyone?"
"No. We'll tell the media that all our security guards and stuff'll be there so nobody outside tries to do anything. But we'll really be giving the guards a day off."
"Where will it be?"
"My house. It's big enough, the one in California. It'll be all day so everybody doesn't have to flay in for just a couple of hours."
"Okay."
"There will be no alcohol or drugs."
"Good."
"And there'll be tons of food all day."
"Great."
"And a stage for the bands, and a dance floor."
"Super."
"How 'bout on- today's Thursday huh."
"Yeah."
"How 'bout Saturday at ten it'll start, and go till six at night."
"Sounds wonderfull. Are you calling everybody?"
"Yeah. And you and I'll have escorts, so find one 'cause we're the head people."
"Alright."
"Well, see you Saturday then."
"Okay. Bye."
"Bye Lenora." By the time we hung up, my alarm was about to go off in about five minutes. I shut it off and got dressed after taking a quick shower. Today I was wearing blue corduroy overalls and a light purple velvet long-sleeved shirt. I examined my hair. It was one of the things people recognized me by. My hair was straight at the top, but the bottom four or five inches were big, huge curls, I put on my usual make-up of mascara and lipstick, grabbed my purse, called for Jake, and drove to the set of Sahara Beach, on hour away.
