Chapter Seven
A long, cold, torturing four hours later, the doors were opened, and madilynn and Brenda were given permission to enter. They quickly checked their coats and purses, and practically ran to center stage, in second row. Half an hour later, a band called 'The Abdomen' took the stage.
Madilynn and Brenda both danced, sang and clapped with the rest of the crowd. Madilynn danced as best she could in her foot by foot space, and flirted with Taylor when he wasn't at his piano. He'd smile at her, sing to her, and to clap along with him. She had a great time, and nearly died of laughter when the elves danced during 'Yearbook', and when Isaac serenaded the giant stuffed monkey during 'Save Me', and then Taylor with the red garland around his neck. She could watch him play that tambourine all day. Damn he was fine. She had a great time, and it was about to get even better.
Waiting for the crowd to thin, she picked out a security guard. After a minute, she led Brenda over to the guard and showed him their passes. He passed them off to another security guy, and he led them through a door leading to the stage, and then behind the back curtain on the stage. the crew was disassembling Hanson's instruments as the girls passed. Brenda and Madilynn exchanged excited looks.
"Wait here." The guard told them, so they did. A few minutes later...
"Hey ladies." Taylor said from behind them. They spun around.
"Hi!" They exclaimed together. he shook Brenda's hand, but gave Madilynn a hug. God he smelled good. He was still a little hot, and his hair was slightly damp. Taylor left his arm around Madilynn's shoulders.
"Come on back." He led them through a door, and then a long hall. "Did you guys enjoy the show?" He looked at Brenda for an answer.
"Absolutely. I've never been that close to the stage before. It was so cool."
"I'm glad you had a great time. So what are your plans for afterwards?"
"I have to be home." Brenda said, sadly.
"I don't have any plans." Taylor looked at Madilynn and smiled mischiveously. "But she's my ride."
"I can take care of that. Here we are." He opened a random door. "Fellas, our back stagers."
"Hi Brenda, hi, Madilynn," they both answered.
"Hi," the girls replied back.
"So, a picture and an autograph?" Isaac asked.
"Sounds good. I'm thankful." Brenda said. She took out her TOMS while Madilynn took her MOE issue #1 out of her purse.
"I haven't seen that in forever!" Zac grinned as he took the magazine.
"I- we made a stop at my old house on the way over." Madilynn smiled as Zac and Isaac poured over and reminisced over the old days.
After a while, Brenda got her shoes, Madilynn got her magazine, and the picture was taken. Taylor was in the middle, Brenda on the right, Madilynn on his left, his ams around Brenda's shoulders, and the other around Madilynns waist. Zac stood on the other side of Madilynn, his arm around her shoulders, and Isaac was on the other side of Brenda. A security guard took the picture. Brenda glanced at her watch.
"It's almost one. I need to get home." Brenda said.
"Madilynn, do you mind if I arrange for your ride back?" Taylor asked.
"Are you kidding? Not at all."
"Brenda, I'll send her back safely." Brenda nodded, then gave Madilynn a hug.
"Thank you." She said into her ear.
"Welcome. Drive safe, si?" Brenda smiled.
"Si. Hasta la manana."
"Manana." With a wave, Brenda was led out of the venue.
"Zac. Entertain her while I shower," Taylor said, leading the way to the bus.
"No problem."
"And don't try anything funny." They went outside, then stepped onto the bus. Only a couple of girls were there. Madilynn was practically pushed onto the bus.
"Was that Jessie?" Madilynn heard a girl ask.
"Have a seat. Sodas in the fridge, tv remote is here. Knowing Taylor, his "quick" showers are still twenty minutes. If you don't mind, I'd like to do some socializing outside for a minute."
"Sure. Go ahead." With that, Zac disappeared. Madilynn took the moment alone to look stupid. she gawked in awe at the bus, being in the bus, and being in her situation. She almost cried. She opened her purse, dug out her compact and assorted cosmetics, and touched up her face. Reapply the shadow, fix the smudged liner, add another coat of mascara, a little blush, and some glossy lipstick, since it was night. A couple spritzes of perfume and a check on her hair. She didn't dare get up to look for a mirror, so she made do with her small compact. A little powder and she was snapping her compact closed. Just as she popped a piece of gum in her mouth, Zac and Isaac got back on the bus.
"Is he almost done? I call shower next." Isaac said.
"He hasn't even turned off the water yet. Don't use all the hot water!!!" Zac called loudly. Madilynn giggled.
"So if you were at the Vegas show too, where do you live?" Isaac asked, sitting at the table on the other side of the aisle, across from the padded couch Madilynn was on.
"I'm in Phoenix, but my family's here. I'm from here. Come to Phoenix!" She laughed.
"So I'm guessing you don't like the cold any more than we do."
"Not really. I've been there for a hear and a half. I miss everything about Minnesota, except for the cold. If it could snow and be warm, I'd be there." Isaac laughed.
"Good luck with that."
"I know, right? But my original plans were to leave tomorrow morning, and not even see my family. They don't know I'm in town, so, ssshhhh...." She laughed. "But it's nice to see snow. It doesn't feel like Christmas without snow. all the lights, decorations and 'Snowed In' on repeat doesn't make it feel like Christmas like snow does. It's like going through that part of town where they keep their Christmas lights up until August." Zac laughed with Isaac as Madilynn smiled.
"What'd I miss?" Taylor asked, coming up to the front of the bus. Madilynn thought he looked awful tasty with his hair only towel dried, and a blue and white striped button down rolled up to mid forearm with tight jeans and his black ankle boots he liked so much.
"This girl's got jokes." Zac informed his brother.
"Oh really?" Taylor asked, smiling at her. Madilynn just shrugged. "Ready?"
"Yeah." Taylor leaned over her, peering out of the windows.
"We already took care of 'em, Tay. It should be safe."
"Thanks. There's our cab. See you guys later." Taylor held out his hand. Madilynn reached for it. In taking it, Taylor helped her to her feet and led her off the bus.
"So what did you want to do?" Taylor asked, opening the taxi door.
"I feel like dancing. And a little alcohol." Taylor grinned.
"Awesome. Know a club?"
"Yeah. Spin please." As the cab pulled away from the bus, Taylor pulled her against him.
"I've been waiting to do this." He ran a hand into her hair at the base of her head, fisted his hand and gently tugged her head back. He looked into her eyes. "Okay?" He whispered, brushing his lips with hers.
"Yes," she almost pleaded. He teased her lips with his, then slid them down over her neck, and began kissing it. Her breath released in a quiet moan as his tongue danced over the magic spot just below the earlobe. His mouth made it's way back to hers, to plunder and take. She almost came with just the thought of who she was kissing. She brought both of her hands up into his hair and pushed him deeper. His other hand slid up the left side of her body, stopping just below her breast. She arched against him, pressing her body to his.
"Here we are. That'll be five sixty please." The cabby inturrupted, pulling up to the club. Taylor pulled away, and reached for his wallet. He pulled out a ten and practically threw it at the cabby as he opened the car door. Pulling her out, she grinned when she heard the bass spilling out into the night. Fortunately for them, being almost two am, there wasn't much of a line. Five minutes later they were checking their belongings.
"Drinks first?" Madilynn asked loudly. He nodded as he was led to the bar.
"What can I get you?" The cute bartender asked Madilynn as she leaned over the bar.
"Two shots of Patron, please." He raised his eyebrows, then turned to fix the drink.
"Really?" Taylor asked into her ear.
"I know what it takes for me to get a good buzz, but not drunk. Why waste time?"
"Good point." She smiled at him, then waited until Taylor had his Yagbomb. He watched her reach for the bowl of lemons and pick out two. He grinned. "I have to see this. You first."
"Dare, huh?" She narrowed her eyes at him, and noticed the bartender was also watching with interest. She smiled slyly. "Alright." She knocked back the first shot with a tip of her head, waited two beats, took a bite into the lemon seductively, and watched Taylors eyes watch her mouth as she ran her tounge over her bottom lip, then mentally prepped for the second shot. She had an empty stomach, so it should take effect fast, but that was the goal. With the lights flashing and music pounding, she watched Taylor's blue eyes on her mouth as she brought the second shot to her lips. With the last tilt of her head, she downed the shot. Setting the empty glass on the table, she smiled smugly. The bartender quietly applauded her, then turned to other customers. "Your turn." The alcohol burned in her chest and stomach.
"Okay." He downed his drink. "Let's dance." He led her through the crowd to the dance floor. It was still packed, so they had to make themselves room. He spun her around so he was against her back. He held her hips tight while she lifted her arms up and around his neck. His lips on her neck, his hair tickeling her face. Moving with each other on the beat, they danced. They didn't even notice people had given them more room. His hands slid up her body again, and she brought her hands down to cover them. She felt his breath on her cheek. She layed her head back on his shoulder, his lips grazing her throat as they moved together. She turned in his hands to face him. She cupped his face as she kissed him quickly. She didn't even know what song it was, or that people were watching. They were in their own world in the middle of the floor. Madilynn was so turned on, with his body grinding against hers, his hands roaming her body.
Then the music stopped.
"Yes, Taylor Hanson can dance." The dj called out over the loud speaker. Madilynn heard him groan.
"Ignore them. Think of me." Madilynn put a hand in the air then drew a circle, motioning for him to keep it going. So the dj played 'Gimme More'. "I love this song." She got into it, trying to bring the mood back. By the end of the song, she had succeeded. His hands were back on her, and he was moving with her.
