Chapter Two

The next morning, Madilynn's alarm went off at eight am. She climbed out of her bed and into the shower, shedding her pajamas along the way. A minute later, her timed cd player began to blast the first chords of 'Great Divide'. Singing along through 'Been There Before', she turned off the shower and reached for the towel hanging onver the door.
Within the hour, she was ready and giving herself a final check before she began the second part of her morning routine. Today she had chosen her high waisted black pants with a large belt, and a purple sleeveless turtleneck tucked into her pants. Tall black heels and silver bracelets and hoop earrings. She had left her shoulder length honey colored hair straight and down, with a part on the left side. a light coat of green eyeshadow covered her lids, lined with black liner and long lashes with lengthening mascara over hazel eyes. Her cheeks had only a slight hint of bronzer, accenting them, and only clear gloss covered her lips. She smiled, showing perfect white teeth. She went back into her bedroom and over to her laptop. Waking it up from sleep mode, she glanced at the clock and claculated she had twenty minutes before she had to leave for work. She sat on her bed. The first place she checked was her h.net email. After logging in, she smiled when she saw she had a new message from her new friend.

Hi Madilynn,
Yeah, who would have thought such a crazy thing
as a ten pm curfew. Let alone people under 18 in
a casino for longer than ten minutes, or passing
through. I'm hoping next time things will go
differently, at least better planned. Will you
go to another concert in Vegas?
The walk was awesome. I was so impressed with
the way people acted. It wasn't crazy at all,
and I was expecting it to be chaos! I went to
a few others, and that walk was by far the best.
I'm glad you had a good M&G, even though it was
rushed.
I had a great time. It was really short though.
That was a bummer. I was on stage for the show.
J.

On stage? Did they have a back stage pass? How did they know the meet and greet was rushed? A few other- wait. Madilynn looked up at her poster. It had to be. "Taylor," she gasped. She looked at the time stamp of the email. Only twenty minutes ago. She minimized the email window, then looked at the list of people signed in. The name was still there. She clicked on it quickly. All it said was, 'J, male, Tulsa' and then gave the address of his myspace page. She clicked on the link for posts, but nothing came up. It had to be him. Male? Tulsa? She went back into the forums, and by then the screenname was gone. So, she replied to the email before she left for work.

J,
I would for sure go to another in Vegas, but I'd
love for them to come to Phoenix. I was mad at
them for a week when I found out that they'd be
passing within twenty miles of my house from
Texas to all the four Cali shows.

She leaned back, thinking. If this really was Taylor, she was going to give him some shit.

Lucky people. Five including the one on Hollywood
Blvd. (Insert creative names). Anyway, did you
have a backstage pass to be onstage? How did you
manage that one? You must have had a great view.
Didn't Taylor look hot? Zac and Isaac did too.
I wish we could have taken pictures. I would have
died for Kelsy's job. I have so many good
questions to ask! Have you ever been a reporter
before?
Did we talk at the concert? Maybe I'd remember you.
TTYL,
Madilynn

She sent it, then logged out. As she grabbed her purse, she smiled. That should give him some things to think about.

All through the day, the only thing on her mind were the emails. Could that really be Taylor? Why would it be? Secretly trying to get information, or feed back from the fans after shows? He pretends to be another fan, asks a couple questions, then disappears. She suddenly hoped she hadn't been too blunt or nosey in the last email so he wouldn't email back. Then she worried.
She quickly drove home and went right to her computer. No response. She went to myspace, and nothing was there either. Deflated, she went to the kitchen for dinner.
