Chapter Sixteen
After the game, which the Suns won by four, Madilynn and Taylor hung out in their seats until most of the people had left. Getting his timing perfect, just a security guard was getting tired of eying them and about to get them moving along, Marcus came jogging out of the locker room and over to them. She saw the security guard stop in his tracks and back off, at least for a minute.
"Hey guys. You guys can come and wait back here or they'll kick you out." He tossed his head at the guard.
"Yeah, I noticed." Taylor said. Taylor and Madi made their way down the aisle and over the railing, joining Marcus on the court. Marcus waived at the security guard who was still eying them. Taylor looked around, grinning. They followed him across the court and down the tunnel.
"Can you guys wait here for a minute while I change?"
"No prob," Taylor said. Once the door was closed, Taylor pulled out his phone and took a couple pictures. "I have to send these to Mackie. He'll love these!" Madi could only watch with a smile. She reminded herself to thank Mandi and Marcus afterwards. After about five minutes, Taylor managed to sit. "Madi, thank you so much for bringing me with. You're the best." He kissed her slowly, making her head light. "Are you sure you want to hang out? 'Cause we can go home."
"Hey. I'm a Suns fan too." Taylor smiled.
"I know. I just want you to have a good time too."
"I'm having a great time watching you have a great time. Next time we'll have to bring Mackie."
"For sure!"
"Well, maybe we could arrange something." Taylor nodded.
"Hey."
"Hi Marcus." Madi greeted him as he came in. He was looking good in a pair of nice jeans, and a blue with red stripes button down long sleeve shirt, and the traditional rocks in his ears.
"Madilynn." He gave her a tight hug, and lingered a little longer than Taylor had liked. Once he released her, Taylor drew her to his side and put an arm around her.
"So what's the plan Marcus?" Taylor asked, drawing Marcus's eyes away from Madi's body to his eyes.
"Oh, I was just thinking that maybe we'd go to a club or a bar or something, and some of the other guys wanted to tag along. Is that cool?" If you stay away from Madi, Taylor answered to himself.
"Sure. Madi?"
"Cool. Are we going to meet up with Mandi?"
"Yeah, she was going to come out later."
"Alright, well, do we have a spot to meet? I'd kind of like to change. I mean, not that I'm not glad we won and all."
"Sure. We'll meet up at that place on the corner of Washington. Ah-"
"I know the place. Right next to the Hard Rock?"
"Yeah."
"Like in an hour?"
"Sure. We'll see you there. I'm going to finish getting ready then."
"Okay. Thanks for everything, Marcus."
"No prob sweetness." And with that, he winked at Taylor, then left the room as Taylor's blood began to simmer.
"Let's go Tay." She linked her fingers in his and smiled at him. "You can help me change." That brought a smile to his face. Pushing Marcus to the back of his mind, they left the arena.
Madi was in her closet, trying to decide on her outfit for the night. She thought it was special, for a number of reasons. One, a lot of the team would be there, two, her sister and future husband, three, and this time after the club, at least she could get some action from Taylor. She wanted to look extra nice. She pulled a dress off of the hanger. It was black velvet, low cut neckline, long sleeves and a lower back, and the hem ended mid thigh. That with a pair of tall black stillettos, and she was good to go. While Taylor was in the shower, she changed and curled her hair in her bedroom mirror after stealing the iron from the bathroom. As soon as she heard Taylor go into his room, she ran into the bathroom, wiped down the mirror, opened all the doors except Taylor's and turned the fan on. She wanted to be a suprise for him. Racing against Taylor dressing, she updated her make up. Purple on her lids, then smudged eyeliner all around. Crushed berry lip stick, clear gloss. Bronzer on her cheeks, blush on the apples. An extra layer of mascara for extra length, and a couple spritzes of perfume in key areas. She heard him coming to the door between them, so she dashed out and into her closet. Slipping on her shoes, she felt ready.
"Madi? Are you almost ready?" Taylor called from the bathroom, combing product through his hair to make it stay. He wanted a hair cut. It was getting long, even for him.
"Yeah. Are you?"
"I am now." He turned off the light in the bathroom. "Madi? Where are you?"
"Here." She stepped out of the closet and posed on the door jam. He took her in, and when his jaw dropped, she crossed to him, wrapping her arms around him seductively.
"Or we could stay here..." He leaned in to kiss her neck. "God you smell incredible."
"Mmm. Thank you." She stepped away from him, leaving him hanging. She looked at him. She really needed to take him shopping. It was the same outfit he'd worn on the 'Chelsea Lately' show. Granted he'd still looked damn good, but still. "You don't look so bad yourself." She trailed a finger down his shirt and lingered at his belt buckle. She leaned in for a kiss, but stopped a breath away. "We'll be late." His lips were partd, anticipating her mouth, eyes cloudy. She smiled. "Let's go." She left him there to grab a black fitted trench coat and wrapped it around herself. "Are you coming?"
"I already did." She looked at him is disbelief. "Just kidding, but damn you've got some weapons. Sharp quick ones." He jogged to catch up with her, willing his body to relax.
"Hey. We're here for the Banks party." Madi told the bouncer outside. She glanced at the line of men and women against the wall, waiting for their turn to go inside.
"Names."
"Madi Hoffman and Taylor Hanson." He scanned his clipboard. Spotting them, he marked them off and opened the rope.
"Have a good night."
"Thanks man." Taylor said, guiding Madi to the coat check. Taylor took the ticket, put it in his pocket, and they went in search of Marcus. He was, as no suprise, in the VIP section, above the dance floor. Again they had to give names, and ID's, to the second bouncer at the bottom of the stairs. Passing the test, they began the climb. Opening the curtain, they were greeted by most of the basketball team, and a few women scattered around. Madi spotted Mandi and waved. Leading Taylor over, she sat next to Mandi.
"Hey man." Taylor and Marcus shook hands. "Your girl's lookin' good tonight." Marcus said in Taylor's ear. Taylor pretended not to hear. "Guys, this is Taylor Hanson, a friend of my fiances' sister." As they all shook hands, Madi waved and gave a flirty smile. The room was dim, circular, and had a round couch with a circle table in the middle. Pillows were littered over the couch, setting on plush bergundy carpet and matching walls. Madi recognized some of the other players, even a couple from the other team. She knew most of them just came to hand out. She watched as Taylor was motioned to sit next to D.J. Strawberry. Taylor gave Madi's hand a squeeze as he crossed the small room and sat. Making sure Madi was okay next to her sister, he turned his attention to D.J.
"Hey man, congrats on coming with her, but as a friend, I'm going to warn you, she won't put out, which is a damn shame. 'Cause she's one fine piece of ass I'd like to tap, you know?" He laughed, and elbowed Taylor.
"Sure." Was all he could say, with a forced smile. "Yeah."
"So how'd you meet her?" D.J. asked, taking a sip of his drink.
"She came to one of my concerts."
"You sing?" He asked, suprised.
"Yeah."
"Props to you." He toasted him.
"Thanks."
"You need a drink."
"I could use one."
"What you want?"
"One of what you're having looks good."
"Sure." He lifted a hand into the air, and the on call waitress for that room came over. "Hey sugar, give me another two of these." She nodded and disappeared. When she returned, Taylor asked if he could get a Cosmo, and asked if it could be given to Madi. She nodded and did as she was asked. When Madi got the drink and was told how it was from, she looked at Taylor and smiled, then blew him a sexy kiss.
"You're one lucky bastard if you can crack her. Damn." Taylor just laughed and tossed back his drink.
"So what do you think about Marcus getting married?" Taylor asked.
"Honestly, right now, he's hoping he can get the two sisters at once. At least the younger one before he ties the knot-" Taylor didn't listen to the rest. So he was up to something. Remembering to nod once in a while, he looked over at Madi, who was laughing innocently, as Marcus's hand was on her knee, on the other side of his fiance. "There's a team bet on it, but most of us are betting agianst him. He's smooth, and gets away with anything by his fiance, but we just don't think it'll happen."
"Yeah, good luck." All he could see was Marcus's hand inching it's way up her right thigh, and Mandi not saying anything about it.
"I know! So how long have you two known eachother?"
"Almost a month."
"Mmm." He said, sipping his second drink. "Alondo tried for what, three months? And what'd you get for it 'Londo?" D.J. smacked him on the other side of Taylor.
"Nothin'. Just a tease. She's got a hell of a mouth though," he said, then returned to the conversation he'd already been in. Taylor didn't think it was possible for your vision to be blurred by anger, but he was experiencing it now. How could they all sit around and bet who she would fuck first? He waited for his drink to kick in, hoping it would calm his nerves. He prayed that she was fairing better than he was. And then he saw Mandi getting up.
"I'll be right back. I have to make a phone call." Mandi told Marcus and Madi. Madi nodded and smiled at Marcus.
"You guys played great today."
"Thanks. You know Madi, you and your sister look a lot alike."
"Yeah, I get that alot. But I can see where they'd get the idea from."
"You're both gorgeous."
"Oh, you're sweet." Was that the alcohol taking effect and making him seem closer than he really was? He looked like he was almost face to face. Then she heard Sexy/Back start to play. "I love this song!"
"Get up and dance then. Show us what you're workin' with!" He smiled, incouraging.
"I think I will. Taylor!" She called. And when he looked over, he saw Marcus not two inches from Madi's mouth and his hand on the high edge of her skirt. His stomach dived. "Let's go dance!" She stood up and walked to him, riding a good buzz. She must have drank too fast. The guys watched her lean over in front Taylor. The guys behind her bent down to get a look at her ass, and the guys next to Taylor leaned in to get a look at her chest. Taylor stood up fast, so she would too, cutting off the guys view.
"Let's go." To be safe, he called over his shoulder, "Wish me luck!" And he was answered by a bunch of hoots and whistles.
She led him onto the floor and wound her arms around him as she began moving to the beat, grinding against him.
"Madi. Let's go have our own party at your place." He practically begged. He had to get her away. "I'll bring some alcohol and we can listen to all the Justin Timberlake you want, and we can get plastered and do dirty things to eachother."
"Mmm." She moaned, turing her back so it was against him, and shook her ass on his manhood. She slid down, then back up, making Taylor groan. "Please?"
"You're not having fun?" She asked.
"Not as much as I could be. I mean, you look so damn hot I want you for myself." She smiled at him, then kissed him long and hard.
"Okay. Let me say goodbye to my sister." She told him when the song ended.
"Alright." They made their way back up the stairs.
"Mandi!" Madi called across the room. She waved her over. "We're going to go."
"Why?!"
"We're going to have our own party," she said a little louder than she should have. The room filled with shouts. Taylor smiled at them from behind Madi's back.
"Okay. Call me. We need to talk."
"I know. I will. Bye guys!" She turned around and bumped solid into Taylor. Because she was buzzed nicely, turned on, and in front of the teammates, she grabbed Taylor by the hair and planted her mouth on his.
"Tap that Taylor!" D.J. called among the shouts and cheers. When she relesed him, she smiled slyly over ther soulder while Taylor blushed slightly. He put an arm around her waist and escorted her out. Once they were outside and walking, Madi asked, "Didn't you have a good time? You wanted to leave really fast."
"Let's just say that you were right about a couple of things."
"And those are?"
"They are completely full of themselves, and they don't look that good up close and personal." Madi laughed.
"I'm glad you agree. But I'd thought you'd want to hang out longer."
"Maybe in a different enviornment. Mostly because I didn't like the way they were drooling over you." She laughed again.
"They were drooling over me?"
"Oh yeah." He wasn't going to tell her about the bet unless absolutely necessary. He was going to stay close to her until he could take her to Tulsa. And that meant not leaving her alone with any of them. At least he was reassured that she was still like him. He was proud of her for making it through those sharks.
"That's funny. I never would have thought. Bad for them, great for you." With that, she pushed him into a shadow and kissed him hard.
Gasping for breath, Taylor told her, "Madi! Your place is right there!" He laughed.
"But I want you. Hey. Did you grab any liquor?"
"I did."
"Alright." She let him go, but made him dash to keep up. She jumped him in the stairwell.
"Madi!" He laughed, surrendering. He devoured her mouth on the landing in between the floors. A moan escaped her as her hands found his skin under his shirt. "Upstairs. Now." He panted to her, one hand on her ass, the ohter on a breast. At the same instant, they broke out in a race for her place. He pushed her up agains her door with a loud thud, and pressed his hard body agains hers, pinning her. She reached out blindly with her keys. Taylor took them from her and undid the lock himself. He pushed the door open, making Madi loose balance. Catching her by her arm, he steadied her and closed the door. Producing the small bottle of Vodka from his back pocket, he opened it, took a shot and handed it to Madi as she did the same. They repeated the process, draining the bottle. Madi threw it on the floor, stairing at Taylor. She waited a beat, then turned and dashed for her bedroom. Taylor was right behind her. He tackled her on her bed. As his hands roamed her body, she tried to be careful as she undid the buttons on his shirt. His hand slid under her dress, pushing the material up to her waist. She pushed Taylor's shirt off then slipped the t-shirt over his head.
"Oh my god you're beautiful," she whispered, right before she started kissing his chest. He managed to get the dress off over her head, revealing a lacy black teddy. Taylor froze, taking her in.
"Damn. I didn't know you had this on. We wouldn't have even left."
Two hours later, they laid naked and tangled on her bed.
"That was, the best ever." Madi said, laying a hand on Taylor's chest.
"Yes, that holds the record." He paused, then started to sing softly. "This is something you can't disguise. It's not just me, you feel it too. 'Cause you know I'm in love with you. Look where we're going, tell me what can I say, we're tracing our footsteps, we're going the same way. Oh my Madeline, here we go 'round again." He drifted off, then rolled over on his side to face her. "It's funny, I'd never have tought that that part would be so true. Hopefully, we're not like the rest of the song." He laughed, tracing invisible shapes on her ass.
"Right?" Madi said, her face burried in pillows.
"You know what?"
"Huh." She picked her head up and looked at him, like a cat that had had it's fill of milk, he thought. It made him smile.
"I want to write a song. You've inspired me."
"Oh really?"
"Really. Come on." He pulled her up and led her, both completely undressed, into the other room. He sat down on the edge of the bec by his bagand dug out a well worn and half full notebook with a pen stuck in the spiral binding. "See, that line you gave me on the plane has been running through my head. A little something like this." He played a light, sexy melody on the keyboard. "I was thinking like, along the lines of a seduction, and call it 'A Kiss From Me'."
"I like it so far."
