Set Adrift on Memory's Bliss Chapter 6
Damn CC, that's four cotton candies! How many can you eat?" Brian laughed.
"Get me another one and I'll tell ya!" she said, and took the last piece of cotton
candy off her stick.
"You'll just have to learn that CC is a bottom less pit. She eats more than most guys, and never gains a pound," Jade said, pulling in closer to A.J.
"That's not true!" Charisma retorted. "I work the pounds right off!"
"That's true Kiz, she does work out a lot," Geri said, grabbing Howie's Hand.
"Oh yeah, you can't forget the treadmill and weight set in her bedroom," Jade
laughed.
"I need to get a bench press next," Charisma added.
"You're gonna look like one of the women with all thoses nasty mussels on T.V.!" Brian laughed.
"Eww no! They are so gross, and then have no chest!"
"Well, I don't think you'd fit into that catigory!" Brian stated.
Charisma blushed, and crossed her arms. "Leave my big chest alone!"
"I was kidding, Chris! Calm down," Brian said and wrapped his arm around her waist. He kissed her head gently.
"You know what?" Jaci said
"What?" The others said, simultaneously
"We have been here all day, and have not gotten to go on one ride, not one!"
"Thats true, but we only have 2 hours before we have to meet Nick and Lia, what ride has a line that is only 2 hours?" Jade asked.
"Hmm, thats a toughie, I think most line's are over 2 hours," Kevin stated.
"You would know, Mr Disney!" Howie laughed.
"Haha! Very funny Howie!" Kevin snapped.
"I thought it was!" Howie stated, proudly.
"You would!" Kevin snapped, again. This time he rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, so there are no rides, none at all?" Geri said, sounding disappointed.
I dunno, lets go look" Howie said and squeazed Geri's hand tighter.
"Nick, stop! People are staring!" Lici pleaded.As Nick kissed her neck. They were sitting in front of the fountain, and Nick got alittle too friendly, and starteding kissing her, the next thing they new they were in a major make out session.
"So what? Since when did you care?"
"Umm since there are little kids over there giggiling, and older people givining us a dirty look."
"Fine" Nick said and pulled away. Giving her a frown.
"Oh, come on, lets make this day more fun!" She said, and kissed his mouth gently. Then grabbed his hand and pulled him off the bench. They walked around for a while, hand and hand. 'Thats the plate CC got last year," Lia said, as they walked into one of the many shops on main street.
"What pate?" Nick asked. Lia held it up for Nick to see. "Wow, thats really pretty," He said, and took the little china plate from Nick's hand. It was alittle white plate, With the Cinderella Castle on it, with little mickey ballons floating behind it in many differentcolors. CC had fallen in love with it, they minute she saw it.
"Yeah isn't it?" She said looking at it
"You want it?" Nick asked.
"What? No! I wasn't asking you to bye it for me!" Lia said, turning bright red.
"Lici, it's ok I want to."
"Nah, thata ok, I will just look at CC's when I want to see it,"
"You sure?" He asked
"Yes!" She said and pulled him out of the shop.
"Geri, are you sure you forgive me, I mean, are you sure you didn't go back out with me, because I sang that song to you?" Howie asked, he had been feeling guity all day. Sure it was great to be able to hold on to Geri's hand, and to kiss her . And to smell the strawberry in her hair, but if it's not what Geri truley wants, then they shouldn't be together.
"Howie, I forgave you long before you sang that song to me,"
"You did?" Howie asked confused.
"Yeah,"
"Then why didn't you just go back out with me?" Howie asked, confused
"Oh, I wanted to make you suffer, a little" She said, and gave him and evin grin.
"Oh" Howie said.
Geri could sence the sadness alittle. "Howie, I know it shoulds cruel, but, I really do like you, and I wanted to get back with you from the start. I tried to forget what happened last year, but I just couldn't." She said, tears filling her eyes.
"Geri, that girl meant nothing, you mean everything to me!"
"Then why did you kiss her?" Geri screamed. People turned around and looked at them.
"Geri, can you not scream!" Howie said in a loud whisper.
"Tell me why then!" She screeched.
"I don't know why, iot just happened!" Howie said. The truth he didn't know why he did it.
****FLASHBACK*****
"Geri, are you sure you can't go?" Howie asked. Sitting down on Geri's bed, and rubbed his hand threw her hair.
"I'm pretty sure Howie," She sneezed. "I feel pretty Lousy" Geri said, and sneezed again.
"Ok, sweety, I will call you later, we won't be home any later than 1am, ok?" Howie said.
"Ok, I'll see you all later, sorry if I ruined anyone's night." Geri said, her voice was getting worse.
"Ger, it's ok, well all be fine!" Charisma said, and gave her friend a hug.
"Come on, lets go, Geri needs her rest," Kevin said and smiled.
"I think I am going to go, I just have a feeling I am needed there tonight" Geri said, and started getting out of Bed
"Geralyn! Lay back down, now!" Howie said, and pushed Geri back onto the bed.
"Fine, don't forget about me, ok?" She asked him.
"I won't," He said and kissed her head.
Later that night at the club the others were singing and dacing away, but but Howie was sitting in a booth, in the corner of the club. Brian and Charisma walked over to him "you just gonna sit here all night?" Charisma asked.
Yeah, with out Geri here it just isn't right."
"Howie, she wanted you to be here! If she would have wanted you to stay home, she would have told you!"
"I guess,"
"You guess? Don't you know Geri better than that?"
"Yeah, I guess your right." He said
"You wanna dance Howie?" Charisma asked.
"You wanna dance with me?" He asked her.
"Yeah! You gotta be a better dancer than him." She said and pointed to Brian.
"Hey! I dance fine thak you!" Brian Retorted.
"Anyway," She started. "Would you like to dance?" She asked him again.
Nah, thats ok CC, I'm fine,"
"Ok, but don't say I didn't ask." She smiled, and pulled Brian onto the dance floor.
Two hours later Howie was still sitting there, but this time he had a friend, mister pina colada.
"Man Howie is wasted." Kevin said.
"Well, we can't really do anything, I mean he is 23! Almost 24." A.J said, shaking his head.
"I know,but still, someone should tell him hes had enough." Kevin said.
"Well, Kevy, you brought it up, you go tell him," Brian stated.
"I never knew Howie to be a drinker though," Jade started. "I mean yeah, A.J ok, even if he had another 2 years before he can drink!" She poked A.J "But not Howie," Jade finished.
"I think its sweet" Charisma said, and smiled.
"What? Why?" Brian asked.
"Because hes only doing it 'Cause he misses Geri."
"Hey, thats true." Jaci smiled
"I wouldn't go that far." Kevin started.
"Why?" Jaci asked confused.
"Look!" Kevin said and pointed to Howie. Who was getting up to dance with some girl.
"Whoa, tonight is 'lets not act like ourselves night' for Howie" Charisma laughed.
"CC, it's not funny! Geri would be crushed if she was here and saw this!" Jade said.
"So whats your name?" The blonde girl he was dancing with asked.
"Howie, you?" Howie said.
"Candi."
"Cool name" He smiled.
"Thanks, your cute." She said, You could tell they both had a little to much to drink. later that night, Howie was still dancing away with Candi. "Howie, if you want, I have a an apartment not to far from here. We could go, havce some private fun of our own." Candi whispered in his ear.
"Maybe in a little while, lets just dance alittle right now." he said, and pulled her in close.
"But Howie, we could be having so much fun," She pleaded, then leaned over and kissed him. Howie deepend the kiss.
"Man, thats it, I have no respect for Howie any more." Jade said and gave Howie the dirtest look.
"Yeah, me either," Charisma said.
"Same here," Jaci added in.
"Ditto," Lia shaked her head.
"Guys, Howie's drunk, he doesn't know what he's doing," Brian defened Howie.
Hey Guys! Where's Howie?" A Familer female voice said.
"Geri, what are you doing here?" Charisma asked, trying to block Geri's veiw of Howie.
"Umm, I dunno, he had ALOT to drink, he might be in the bathroom." Charisma lied.
"Ok..." Geri said, unconviced.
"Anyway, this place is so cool and-" Jade started But Geri's eyes were elsewere. "Ger, whats wrong?" She asked, having a feeling what was up.
"Thats Howie over there, dacing and ...kissing some girl,"
"What were?" Nick said, trying to sound like he didn't know.
"Oh save it Nick, you all knew it, and you didn't tell me." Geri said, and ran out of the club.
"Geri are you ok?" Howie asked her. She had been in a dase for a while.
"Yeah, I guess," She answered.
"Good lets go join the others." He said and smiled.
