Set Adrift on Memory's Bliss Chapter 2
The 5 girls walked into the park, after 2 hours of waiting on line. They walked around
untill they found a ride that they wanted to go on. Jaci had gone off by herslef
"Hey lets go on that one!" Charisma called out.
"Yeah it looks cool!" Jade said.
An hour later they were still on line
"Good Idea, come to Disney on a saturday, what in Gods name where you thinking CC?"
Geri asked Charisma
"Shut up, Geri! No one asked you!" Charisma retorted.
"Will you two stop, people are staring!" Jade said.
"Kiz, chill, who cares? So a few people stare, once we are off this nasty line, we will never
have to see them again" Charisma reassured to Jade
"Yeah, unless they follow us onto the next ride" Lia laughed
"If we ever get to the next ride!" Geri said loudly, giving Charisma a look.
"Very funny, Smart Ass!" Charima said, rudley
"Hey, hey! Whats all this noise!" A Male voice said, cutting threw the line, and over to the
girls.
"Brian?" Charisma said, getting butterflies in her stomach.
"Yup, its me!" He Said, giving her a killer smile.
"Oh my God! its been months, almost a year, what are you doing here?" Charisma said,
giving Brian the biggest hug.
"I came to check out the park, It was to nice to stay in, and I heard Universal, was to
crowed, and I haven't been to see world, since, well you know" he said, and partly smiled
at her.
"Yeah, same here" Charisma smiled back. The story behind that was, Brian and Charisma
use to go out, it was nothing big, it was only a 1 month thing, but Charisma fell in love
with Brian. But, it was to hard, they were 5 years apart, and Charisma was still in high
School, at the time. They both felt that it was a big gap. Brian was 22 at the time, which
made Charisma, 17, he wanted somthing that would last for years, and turn into marriage,
After about 2 weeks, he new that would not happen for a while with Charisma, she was
still young and living life, and he himself, who was 22 was still living life, he didn't want to
wait 10 years for Charisma to grow up, little did he know, Charisma had grown up more
than ever, over the past year. Sea World was where they went on their 2nd date, and Were
Brian had asked her out. Charisma could still remember the day.....
***FLASHBACK****
"Brian! Hurry with the fish, they look Hungry!" Charisma laughed, leaning over the
dolphin pool. She put her had in a little closer. "AHHHHHH" Brian heard her scream.
"Are you ok?" he asked, rushing over to her.
"No! That stupid fish bit me!" Charisma pointed the one of the dolphins
"Let me see" He said, and took her hand in his. "It's not that bad" He walked her over to
the nearest bench and sat her down.
"Thats caused I knocked the stupid thing off of me before it could bite me harder!"
"You hit the dolphin?"
"What was I suppose to do? Tell it, please don't bite me? It hurts?"
Brian laughed. "You so crazy"
"I know!" She said, and smiled. "This really hurts"
"Aww, poor baby, here let me make it better" Brian said, and lifted her hand ,and kissed it.
"Ahh, how sweet, thank you!" She said, feeling her heart melt.
"Wait, I have an Idea, stay right here, ok?" Brian said, and got off the bench and ran into
the store, that was right near them.
"Ok...." Charisma said, confused.2 mintues later Brian had a little bag in his had and he
walked over to her. "Whats in the bag?" She asked him, still very confused
"Close you eyes"
"Why?"
"Just do it ok?"
"Ok" She said,and closed her eyes. This guy was really confusing her. She felt him pick up
her hand an place something on it.
"Ok, you can open them now" Brian wispered in her ear. Charisma opened her eyes and
looked down at her hand. "You like?" He asked. Charisma was speechless, he had placed
a silver ring, with 2 dolphins surrounding a heart. "CC?"
"Huh?"
"Do you like the ring?"
"I love it!
"Good, cause if you didn't, I would have to feed you to the dolphins, and we know they
like the taste of you" Brian joked.
"Very funny!" She laughed. "But why did you give it to me?" She asked him.
Brian turned bright red. "Well, um, I was hoping you would be my girlfriend" He asked
"I would love to!" She said, tears filling her eyes, and she hugged Brian.
"It's not much, I will get you a real ring after we leave the park"
"Brian! You don't have to, it means alot because it came from here" She said and pointed
to his heart.
"You sound like a hollmark card" Brian laughed
"So, how have you been?" He asked, bringing her back into the present.
"Pretty good, yourself?"
"Good" he said. There was a moment of silence. "So, I see your here with the girls" he
said and smiled at them. They smiled back
"Yup, what about you?"
"I'm here with Nick" he said
"Lia turned a pale white color, when Brian said Nick. "Nick? As in, Nick Carter?" She
asked
"Yeah, he was going to get us soda's, when I heard CC's laugh, a laugh I knew to well,
and I looked over here, aand so you guys, so I thought I would come over" He answered.
"What do you mean my laugh!" Charisma screeched
"You know, that high pitched, yet deep low, giggle laugh you have" Brian said, Charisma
gave him a confused laugh. Brian tried to copy her laugh, the other girls craked up.
"I do not laugh like that!" Charisma said, and crossed her arms
"Oh yes you do!" Jade said, and laughed even harder. "Do it again, Brian!" She said
laughed.
"There you are Brian, I was looking all over for you, heres your soda" Nick said, and
handed Brian his soda. Then he looked around, and his eyes met with Lia's. "Hey Lia" he
said shyly
"Hi Nick" She said back. She really didn't have much to say to him after the way he
treated her last year.
"So I see you guys are going on splash mountian" Nick said, trying to make converstaion.
"Yup!" Geri churped, she loved this ride, it was her favortie ride at the park.
"I thought you were scared of that ride CC?" Brian asked. Last year, he tried to get her on
it, and she flipped, she was scared to death of heights, and refused to get on that ride.
"I was, still am, I am going to try to not be scared, and go on the ride." She said, sounding
very confident, yet scared to death.
"Wow, you have changed!" Brian laughed
"Yeah, nice of you to notice" Charisma said, rudley. Then walked off the line, and over to
a bench.
Brian was shocked, Charisma was always happy, she was never upset, or it took alot to
get her upset. Sure, she cried at sappy movies, but she never got upset over little things,
maybe she has changed more than he thought she would. "What's up with her?" He asked
"Nothing, this place just brings back to much, for all of us, maybe this wasn't such a good
idea" Lia said and looked at Nick, then Brian.
"Don't say that! It's great to see you guys again!" Brian said, trying to make Lia smile, but
it just didn't work.
"Well, maybe for you, but we are the ones who had are hearts broken, and do you wanna
know whos heart was broken the most? It was hers" Jade butted in, and pointed to
Charisma
"Maybe I should go talk to her"
"Maybe that would be a good idea" Jade snapped
Brian Walked of the line,threw the crowds of peope and over to Charisma. Jade, Geri,
Lian and Nick were still in the line. Lia turned to watch CC and Brian. She couldn't stand
looking at Nick any longer without the feeling of tears want to cover her entire face. Lia,
still watching CC and Brian, saw CC bend down and cover her face in her hands. Brian sat
down next to her and put his arm on her shoulder. CC looked up, but with no smile.
"CC, are you ok?" Brian asked.
"Yeah, great," She started. "You have some nerve" She finished
"Huh?" He asked confused.
"You know what I mean, just coming back here, like nothing happened"
"Chris," He started, only he called her Chris, it was a nickname she didn't really like to
many people calling her Chris, but it seemed to be ok with Brian. "I didn't plan this, what
was I suppose to do, pretend like I didn't see you?"
"Brian, you just don't get it, and you never have either" She said, putting her hands in her
head, and crying.
"Chris, don't cry" Brian said and sat down next to her.
"I just missed you so much" She said, and looked at at him to see his facial expression.
"I missed you too, Chris"
"Then why did you break up with me?" She asked. Brian didn't know how to answer.
"So Lia, how have you been?" He tried to be polite. Jade and Geri, turned away and
started talking, they knew that Lia and Nick needed privacy.
"Just peachy." Lia said sarcastically. Although she saw a sad look come about Nick's face
when she said it. Guilt filled up inside her. She thought to herself. "Why should I feel
quilty? He's the one that just left me and...." She stopped.
"Oh." Was all Nick said.
"What about you?" She asked, still feeling guilty. This time, she didn't sound snobby.
"Pretty good."
"That's good." Lia had no clue what to say. Just looking at Nick gave her pain. She didn't
want to feel that way.
"Hmm mmm." Nick also didn't know what to say. Lia couldn't take it.
"I'm gonna go look for my sister." She started walking away but her pace soon picked up
into a slow jog.
"Great." Nick muttered.
"Nice going asshole." Geri said to him.
"What?"
"You broke her ot peices last year and now you can't even work up the courage to
apologize." Geri said snappishly. Jade's solemn face nodded. Nick didn't know what to do,
he just stood there looking like a zombie.
"Well, do you still like her?" Geri said, gettin annoyed with the silence.
"Well..." Nick paused to think. Geri gave him a 'hurry up' look. "Yeah." He finished, just
standing there.
"You're not too quick are you?" Jade asked.
"What?"
"Go after her!" The two girls shouted in unison. Nick got the picture and pushed his way
through the line of angry tired people.
