Sara's eyes filled with excitement. Brian's did just the same. Sara ran into
his arms and he gripped onto her body tightly and closely. Sara hadn't
realized how much their relationship had changed over a week or two and how
much it all would change again, whether it was for better or worse, in the the
next week or two.
Holding her closely, Brian breathed in deeply. The sweet scent of her
perfume filled his nostrils and stung his eyes lightly. He, too, had missed
the way things use to be between them. Hopefully, they could make it all come
back, in such short time they had to do it in.
"Sheesh you two!" Jenni and AJ gaped at Brian and Sara. They lingered in
eachother's arms, both distant and in thought about the other.
"Hello!" AJ cried, snapping his fingers in front of their faces. Sara and
Brian ignored their rudeness.
"I missed you." Sara said shyly.
"Likewise!" Brian's voice was smooth, and filled with sincerety.
"Whoa, twight light zone. They were only apart for two days...." AJ and Jenni
both started laughing.
"Would you guys give it a rest already?" Brian glared at A.J., then gazed
stary-eyed at Sara. She blushed.
"Yeah, it's..." Sara started, but Jenni cut her off.
"Okay guys, forget about it, we don't have much time before everyone starts
coming. Let's get you ready! Where are the other guys?"
"Huh?" Sara asked confused. No one answered her.
"Oh, uh.. They were suppose to meet us here." A.J. said, Brian stared at Sara.
"Wait??" Sara tried to get into the conversation.
"What do you mean, A.J.? We gotta get this set up!" Jenni sounded frustrated.
"I'm sorry." A.J. started.
"WAAAAAIITTT!!" Sara yelled at the top of her lungs, everyone turned and gaped
at her.
"What, Sar?" Jenni asked.
"What the hell are you three talking about? I'm so lost and no one's telling
me what's going on." She said in a loud, exasperated tone.
"We've got a suprise goin' on." Brian simply stated, flashing her an
unforgetable smiled.
"Okay....." Sara held on to the word, "is that all I'm gonna get?"
"Yep, now g-.." Brian startedto say something to her, but a new voice sounded
to their ears. A voice Jenni and Sara, especially, hadn’t heard in a long
time.
"Hey 'B', sup?" Nick called from outside, behind the door. Everyone turned to
see two guys behind him. One, neither Jenni or Sara had seen, and another who
seemed vaguely familiar.
"Hey Nick! Hey D, Kev!" Brian smiled, giving Nick what looked like a secret
hand shake.
"Hey D, Kev, and the little one!" A.J. gave 'D' a high five, and patted Nick
on his head, standing on his tippy-toes to reach the top.
"Stop." Nick gave a look, fixing his golden hair.
"Hey Sara, Jenni." Nick said, giving a simple wave.
"Hey Sara." The familiar looking guy said. Sara gave a confused look, but gave
a greeting back.
"Hey..." She paused.
"Kevin." The man said.
"OH yeah!!! Kevin, you're Brian's cousin, right?" Her mind recalling the time
they had met. He was a really cool guy.
"Sad but true." Kevin started to explain."My parents apologize everyday to me
for it happening."
"Oh, that's understandable." Sara laughed out. Kevin brok into laughter, as
well as everyone else.
"Hey now!" Brian punched his cousin in the shoulder.
"Just playin' ya cuz!"
"Yeah."
"Hi!" The unknown guy came forward, with a smile lasting from cheek to cheek,
holding out his hand. "I'm Howie, a.k.a. 'D'." He flashed his smile bigger
than before. Sara shook his hand first.
"I'm Sara." Then came Jenni.
"And I'm the ever so beautiful, Jenni." She teased, shaking his hand.
"Got that right." A.J. smiled, sliding his hands around her waist.
"Jenni, A.J. mentioned you a few times I guess... I heard about you too, Sara.
None of the guys ever said how gorgeous you are." He bent over and kissed both
their hands; they blushed.
"Did too!" Brian chirped in. Nick's face turned a shade of pink, and he looked
away. "Hey, slow down, Latin Lover." The guys laughed, leaving Sara and Jenni
in a confused daze.
"Inside joke." A.J. said, and left it at that.
"Okay sorry to cut this meet and greet short, but we have a lot to do!" Jenni
said, in a chipper tone. They all nodded, except for Sara.
"Okay since I dunno what's going on, what do I do?" She asked.
"You can set up some more of the tables and food... I don't care, do
whatever!"
"Gee, thanks." Sara said, a little hurt. It made her mad that she was the only
one who didn't have a clue as to what was going on.
Jenni told everyone to follow her into the house so they could help her out.
Sara followed, but as soon as she got into the kitchen, she saw food that had
to be put out and a few other things.
"Man, you're place is big!" Howie exclaimed.
"Tell me about it, I got lost the first time I came over." A.J. said.
"A.J., that's no suprise to us, we're pretty sure you found your way back,
especially knowing you." Howie teased. All the other guys laughed, as A.J.'s
face turned into a shade of rose and he gave Howie a look saying, 'I'm gonna
hurt you later!'
"Oh really." Jenni said, raising an eyebrow.
"What they mean is..." A.J. started, but didn't know what to say. Jenni broke
into laughter.
"I know exactly what they mean." A.J.'s color turned from rose to cherry red.
