Brian awoke, with the sun shinning through the front window. He looked around for a bit, unitl he recognized where he was. He looked right over to Sara, who was still sleeping. He thought to himself, about how beautiful she looked to him. He really liked her.
He pulled his arms away from her, and she moved a little bit, but stayed asleep. He got up as quietly as possible, and grabbed his clothes. He walked up to the bathroom and changed. Then he left, quietly, so not to wake up Sara.
Sara awoke, and looked around. She was confused. Then she remembered that she went out with Brian. She looked around, she thought he had stayed the night with her; yes, he had. “Where’d Brian go?” She thought to herself. She got up and walked over to the door, it was unlocked. Then she looked around the room, and spotted a bunch of pink roses sitting in a little bag on top of her tv. She walked over and picked them up. There was a card inside, and she read it:
Dear Sara,
I had a wonderful time last night! It was so much fun. I am so sorry to just leave this morning, but I had to get home. I hope we can see eachother again soon! Maybe watch some movies! Either call me, or I’ll call you. If you don’t have my number, it’s 555-9733. *Smile*

Sara almost wanted to cry, when she read that note. She grabbed the phone and dialed Jenni’s number up right away.
“Jen?”
“Yeah, hey, what’s up?”
“Nothing.”
“Nothing, that’s not what I heard from AJ!” Jen said teasingly. Sara giggled.
“I just woke up...”
“Oh, so did Brian stay with you? He didn’t come back to AJ’s before I left.”
“You left? You didn’t stay with him?”
“Well, sort-of... I went to go and buy Mickey D’s!” Jen said, and they both cracked up.
“Then you came back?”
“Yeah, and I figured, either Brian had come back and already went to bed, or he wasn’t coming home at all.”
“The second guess was right!”
“Yeah I know, so is he there now?”
“No, he left, for some strange reason before I woke up. He didn’t even wake me up. His clothes are gone. When I woke up, there were pink roses sitting on my tv, with a note.”
“Oh.... let me hear the note!” Jenni practically screamed. Sara read her the note. “Aww.... how sweet! I think he should feed some of this stuff to AJ! Just playin!”
“Yeah, I wonder where he went?”
“Couldn’t help ya.”
“Yeah, so.. what should I do?”
“About what?”
“Nick and Brian! I like them both, A LOT!”
“Uh-oh, I thought this problem was solved! Have you seen Nick lately?”
“Not for about two days, he was supposed to call.” Sara said, wandering into her kitchen. “Ohmygosh, he did call! I just found a note from my parents that says he called! Ohh.. I feel so bad! I guess I should call him!”
“Um, YEAH!”
“Okay, gotta jet, C-ya!” Sara clicked the hang-up button before Jenni could say good-bye.
“5-5-5-3-1-9-2.” Sara said the numbers aloud, as she dialed them.
“Hello?”
“Hey, is Nick there?”
“Yeah, hold on, I’ll get him.” A young boys it sounded like, said through the phone. “NICK!!!!!” She heard in the background. “What!?” She heard Nick cry. “It’s a girl!!!OOOOHHHH!!!!” The young boy teased. Nick came to the phone, and was breathing hard, as though he had just been running.
“Hello?”
“Hi, Nick? It’s Sara.”
“Hey, what’s up?” Sara heard Nick’s voice sound calmer when she said it was her.
“Oh, nothing, I just found the note from my parents, about your call.”
“Oh cool. I tried to call last night, where were you?”
“Oh, um, well I was hanging out with Brian.”
“Oh,” Nick left a long pause, “You were?”
“Yeah.” There was a long silence between them after that.
“So, well, do you still want to get together?” Nick asked. Sara though long and hard. She thought about last night, with Brian, how wonderful it was. Then, she thought about how Nick had flowers delivered to her at work, and how they had had a great time at the mall.
“Sure!” She started to sound excited, still thinking about the last time she went out with Nick.
“Okay, is tonight alright?”
“Yeah, what are we gonna do?”
“Oh, I dunno. What do you wanna do?”
“Doesn’t matter.. just, let’s not go to a fancy restaurant and dance with all the old people!” She laughed while saying this.
“Huh?” Nick sounded very confused.
“Oh, nothing! You just wanna hang out?”
“Okay, I’ll come over to your house around 7:30-ish, is that okay?”
“Yeah, it’s fine.”
“Okay, see you then!”
“Yup, bye!” They both hung up. Nick was suddenly filled with excitement. He couldn’t wait to see Sara, he thought he really liked her!
Sara was standing at her closet, deciding what to wear. She pushed some clothes aside. She saw her favorite shorts from Old Navy, and a lime green tank. She put on a pair of socks, and then grabbed her sandles. She walked into her bathroom and finished curling her hair, then put it up in a pony- tail. She walked back into her room, and looked at her alarm clock, which read 7:00. “Wow, I’ve got lots of time left, that’s suprising!!” She laughed at herself and then headed downstairs to watch tv.
The door-bell rang at 7:25, Sara thought to herself, “He’s early, how sweet.” and giggled as she opened the door. She almost gasped when she saw Nick. He was wearing blue baggy jeans from Old Navy, and a gray and blue t-shirt form Abercrombie. His hair was gel’d, but left to the sides, he looked adorable. “Hi!” Sara said when she opened the door.
“Hey, you ready?”
“Yep!”
“Okay, do you wanna go and see a movie, or just hang around the park, or something like that?”
“How about we go and get something to eat! I’m starved, then we can hang out at the park or whatever!”
“Good idea!! Me too!” They walked out the door and to Nick’s car. He, too, was a gentleman opened the door for her! They drove off, and decided to eat at Godfather’s pizza, cuz they were both hungry for pizza.
“We’ll get a medium pizza, with 1/2 extra cheese, and 1/2 with pepperoni for my lovely friend here. Two Coke’s too, I guess.” Nick told the waiter. They waited for the food, and talked about little things: movies, music, summer, and the nice weather outside; until the food came.
After they were done eating, it was about 8:40. They saw that it was kind of dark out, and Nick said he wanted to go somewhere.
“Where?”
“It’s a secret!” He said, with a killer grin on his face.
“Oh, okay!” Sara said, curios as to where he was talking about. They drove off, away from the main part of the city, to a beach. The stars were shinning out, and it looked so nice to see the star’s reflection on the beach water. “Oh, wow, it’s beautiful.” Sara said in awe.
“I know, I thought so too. It’s not as beautiful as the person I’m here with though.” Nick replied. They both blushed and looked at eachother. They took off their socks and shoes, so they could feel the soft sand under their feet. Nick walked next to Sara, and put her hand in his. Sara leaned closer to him and laid her head on his shoulders. They walked close to the water. Sara sat down, and let the waves run up to her toes and trickle back down the sand int the water. Nick picked up a few rocks and started skipping them.
