“BUZZZZZZZ!!!” Sara’s alarm clock went off. She turned her head to look at the clock, it read 8:15.
“Ugh!!” She yelled, shoving her pillow over her head. She dreaded going to work on a summer day... but she needed money, so she got out of bed. She walked over to her closet and opened the door.
“Oh!! I don’t have anything clean to wear!” She cried frantically.
Then, she began running around her room searching her floor, dressers, and anywhere else she could. After 20 minutes of searching, she decided on a short shimmery blue shirt covered with flowers and and a white blouse covering a pale blue tank, incase she got hot. She ran into her bathroom and turned on the curling iron and did her make-up. By the time Sara was done with her make- up, she took 15 minutes to curl her hair, then ran downstairs to grab a bite to eat. It was 9:05 when she decided she’d better go, so she wouldn’t be late for work, which started at 9:30.
The day was going by very slowly for Sara, when Jenni and AJ dropped by. “Hey, how’s it goin’?” Jenni said with a smile, as she and AJ walked over with a smile.
“Okay, the day has been pretty boring so far!” Sara replied.
“Oh, well we were playin’ b-ball and then we decided to come to the mall for a while! We were just in Gap, when I remembered you were working, so I thought we should stop by and say hi.” Jenni said.
“That’s cool. I’m very bored...,” Sara started to say, but sounded off when she saw her boss looking her way, “I gotta get back to work, my boss is watching.”
AJ ans Jenni said okay, and walked out of Dayton’s to the food court. Sara walked around the store organizing clothes and putting misplaced things in they right spots. She was looking at her watch, thinking that there was only 15 minutes left, as she was interupted.
“Excuse me, Miss, are you Sara, umm.... I can’t read the last name...” Some guy in a uniform came up to her. She looked down at the clipboard and nodded to seeing her last name.
“Yeah.”
“These are for you.” The man handed her a dozen red roses.
“Oh, thank you!” Sara said in excitement. She opened the little card that she found, which read, “CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN! LOVE -- NICK.” She smiled as she read it, as someone tapped her on the shoulder, she turned around, to see Nick. She smiled and gave him a hug.
“Thank you so much, they’re beautiful!” Sara said to Nick. He just smiled and then started to kiss her. She pulled away, “Be right back! Hold that thought.” Sara said, smiling, and walked toward her boss. She asked her boss if she could leave 5 minutes early. Her boss saw the young man in the back and nodded, grinning widely.
“Okay, let’s go wander around the mall.”
“Don’t you have to work?” Nick said.
“I only had 5 minutes left, and I asked if I could leave early.”
They walked out of the store and wandered around the mall, into Champs. Nick headed towards the shoes, “Look at these. Whadya think?” He said pointing to an interesting looking pair of NIKE’s. Sara laughed, “Oh, they’re.. um... different.” Nick ran over to her and pretended to tackle her without pulling her down. They walked around the store some more. Nick pulled a blue A.D.I.D.A.S. shirt off the rack, and Sara nodded. Nick walked over to the register and paid for it.
“Well, I should get home, my family might get a little worried since I didn’t go straight home after work. Why don’t you give me a call later, or tomorrow, or whenever?” Sara said.
“Oh,” Nick said with a frown, “Alright, I’ll call you.” He put a little smile on his face. He walked up to her, and put his arms around her, and gave her a long kiss. Sara wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. They walked hand in hand to Sara’s car. They said their goodbye’s as she got in her car.
All the way home, all Sara could think about on the way home was Nick. She thought about how sweet he was, he’d always treated her great; the way he kissed her was incredible; and he was gorgeous... she thought about Nick, and then Brian came into her head.
