“Brian! I’m sorry, but we need to talk to AJ and Jen!” She said, getting up,
off the bed. She walked over to the door, and waited for Brian to come with
her. Brian got off the bed and walked over to her. Sara started to oped the
door, but Brian pushed it shut.
“Brian!?”
“What?”
“Come on, we need to talk to them.” She pleaded. Brian wrapped his arms around
her.
“They’re busy.”
“They are? They were just down stairs.”
“No, they’re busy.” Brian said, and pressed his lips hard against hers. Sara
fell back hard against the door. She wrapped her arms around Brian. Brian
pressed against her harder. Sara closed her eyes, as Brian kissed her neck.
“Brian?” She pulled away from him.
“Huh?” He looked at her.
“I’m sorry, but it doesn’t feel right. Not with Nick mad at me and you like he
is!” Brian sat and thought, and then agreed.
“Yeah, you’re right.” He sat down on the floor.Sara sat down next to him. He
laid his head in hands, and she played with his hair.
“Should we go talk to AJ and Jenni?” Sara asked.
“Yeah, but trust me, their busy!” Brian said, looking up and smiling.
“Oh really!”
“Yeah, I walked by there when I was looking for you and I heard Usher on his
cd player... and he only plays that, well, let’s just say he doesn’t play it
too often!” Sara laughed.
“Oh, you’re so cute!”
“Am I?”
“Yup, I just wanna squeeze you like my little teddy bear!”
“I see no problem with that!” Brian said grinning.
They sat together, Sara in a straddled position and Brian sitting against
her, resting his head against her. The moments passed and they just sat there.
“Oh Brian, I wish we could sit here forever like this!!”
“Me too.” He said quietly.
“Okay! I can’t take this!! We’ve gotta get things settled with Nick!” Sara
said, sounding very frustrated.
“Chill out hun !I know, we’ll go and talk to AJ and Jenni right now!” Brian
said trying to calm her, he hugged her and helped her up.
“Thanks! I’m sorry!”
“It’s okay.” He said, smiling. They got up and knocked on AJ’s door.
“He must not hear!” Brian laughed, and knocked harder. He heard footsteps
coming to the door.
AJ opened the door wildly, looking a little upset.
“What?” He was standing in his boxers and a t-shirt. Sara tried hard not to
laugh.
“I know you’re wanting to kill me right about now, but we need help.” Brian
said.
“Yeah, I’d say so!” AJ said.
“No, I’m serious.”
“What?”
“Okay, well you know how Nick got really pissed when we told him how we’re
going out?”
“Yeah, so?”
“Well, we’re both really feeling bad and guilty...” Brian started, and then
leaned over to whisper to AJ, “You remember, you’re not happy unless I’m
happy!”
“Oh man.” AJ said after what Brian whispered to him. “Come on in, sorry Jenni,
these guys need our help.”
“It’s okay.” She said. Jenni was sitting on AJ’s bed, in one of AJ’s t-shirts
that’s was overly big for her. Sara smiled at her.
“Hey, sorry!” Sara said to Jenni, as they all squished on to AJ’s bed.
“Hey, it’s okay!” Jenni said.
“Anyways, continue your story, Bri.”AJ said. Brian finished telling AJ and
Jenni what was going on with Nick, Sara, and himself.
“So you tried talking to Nick then, and he wouldn’t talk to you?” Jenni asked
afterward.
“Yeah, he was starting to talk to me, but wouldn’t really say anything then he
hung up when Brian started to talk to him.” Sara said, solemly.
“Oh.” Jenni said.
“Well, you have to try to talk to him again.” AJ said, “It’s plain and
simple.”
“It’s not that easy!” Brian said.
“Well, I can’t make it any easier, but that’s what you two gotta do!” AJ
replied to Brian’s sympathetic remark. Brian took a deep breath.
“Okay.” He agreed. “Then how do we do it?”
“Well, if it doesn’t work when you try to talk to him over the phone, then you
have to go to his house or something.” AJ said.
Sara and Brian looked at eachother, and nodded.
“Okay, well, let’s go get it over with!” Brian said. “I can’t stand, well you
know.”
“Yeah! I know.” Sara giggled. AJ and Jenni gave eachother a confused look.
Sara and Brian both laughed.
“Thanks guys, talk to ya lata, sorry to, uh, interupt you!” Brian said, trying
not to burst out laughing. AJ and Jenni just laughed.
“Okay, good-bye!” AJ said, in a hinting “get the hell out of here” voice.
“Okay okay, we’re gone!” Brian said, as he walked out, shutting the door
behind him and Sara.
“Phew...okay we’ve got ideas, now how we gonna do this?” She asked outside
AJ’s door.
“Well,” He said, taking her hand and walking back into his room. “we’ll try
calling him first and if that doesn’t work, we’ll go over to his house and
talk or we’ll think of something.” Brian said.
They picked up the phone, and Sara dialed Nick’s number.
“Hello, is Nick there?” Sara asked. A woman answered her, his mother, Sara
guessed.
“No, I’m sorry, he’s down by the beach, I believe. Can I take a message?” She
asked.
“Um, no, that’s okay, I’ll try back later. Thank you.”
“Okay, good bye.” The woman said politely.
“Good bye.” Sara said, and hung up the phone.
“Well?” Brian asked.
“He’s not at home, he’s at the beach.”
“I see.”
“Yeah, so, on to plan B.” Sara said. She grabbed Brian’s hand and led him
outside. He had a confused look on his face, but followed.
