Nick walked over to Sara and sat down next to her. She leaned backwards and layed in the soft sand, starring up into the night sky. Nick watcher her, she closed her eyes and just laid there. Nick stared at her. “She’s so beautiful. I just wish she knew the way I feel about her.” He thought to himself. He knew only of one way to let her know. He leaned toward her and kissed her cheek. She smiled, not opening her eyes. He sat for a moment, and kissed her again, but on the lips this time.
Sara just laid there for a minute and did nothing, while Nick kissed her. Nick saw how she wasn’t kissing him back or doing anything, and started to pull away. But, as soon as Sara felt Nick almost pull his lips off of hers, she reached her arm up and pushed his shirt up, so he sat up. She sat up, carefully, not to separate him from her, and wrapped her arms around his neck. They sat there, together, just kissing for a while. Then Sara pulled back and leaned forward again, to lay her head in his chest. Nick wrapped his arms around her, to give her a hug, but didn’t let go.
He had a strange sense to himself. He didn’t know what it was, or actually how it felt. He still felt strange though. He thought of the day when Brian had brought him and AJ to meet Sara and Jenni for the first time. He thought of the day he suprised Sara at the mall. He knew they didn’t have many memories together, if any really at all. They sat still, Sara didn’t move from Nick’s arms. Then Nick sort-of pushed her up for a moment, and laid down in the sand. Then, he looked at Sara, to see a hurt expression on her face. “I didn’t mean anything by it.” He said smiling, pulling her down onto the sand. He laid sideways, facing her, and reached for her hand. Sara scooted in closer to Nick. Some of the waves came up higher than usual, and reached their legs. They didn’t move though. They just laid together quiet, in the sand.
Meanwhile, Brian was at home, watching tv. He was sitting home alone, on the couch. AJ had taken Jenni out for dinner. He missed Sara. He thought for a moment, and decided to call her. He picked up the phone and dialed her number. No one answered though. He felt a strange sense of worry come over him. He put the phone down and tried to forget about it, and flipped through some channels.
Nothing was on tv, so he walked up to his room, and turned on the radio. He grabbed a book, Hitmen, and sat down on his bed to read it. A song by Next came on, “Too Close.” He started to sing the words to the song. He reached over and grabbed the phone and called Sara. Still no answer. He started to get a little worried, but figured that she might just be at work and he’d try again later.
Nick and Sara, stayed in the same spot for a while. The night was growing and it was getting much colder, laying by the water. Sara shivered. Nick smiled, “I’ll be right back, I gotta get something from my car.”
“Okay, but hurry, you’re what’s keeping me warm!”
“Hey, is that all you need me for?” Nick said frowning, jokingly.
“Well, that, and you’re a good kisser.”
“I get that all the time!”
“Oh really?” Sara got defensive.
“Just kidding, anyway, I’ll be right back!” He got up. Sara layed her head back down in the sand and closed her eyes. She could feel goosebumps on her legs. She just now figured she shoulda worn pants! Nick came back all wrapped up in a blanket. He sat down right next to her, but did nothing, just grinned.
“Hey, aren’t you gonna share?”
“No.” He grinned harder.
“Oh really? Why not?”
“Cuz, I don’t want that to be the only thing I’m good for.”
“Oh really?” She leaned over and kissed him, on his cheek. Then pulled away to see Nick’s expression. Nick didn’t budge, he just sat there with the same stupid grin on his face and looked at the water. “Did that help any?”
“Ah... not really.” Nick said. Sara was very stunned. She gave him a quick kiss on the lips and hugged him. Then pulled away, with her arms lightly touching his neck, to see his expression. He still wouldn’t budge.
“How about that?”
“Ah... a little more, I guess.” Nick wouldn’t change his grin, but wouldn’t look at Sara either.
“Well, what am I going to do with you?” She said, then shoved him very hard on the ground and kissed him hard and then harder. She grabbed his arms and wrapped them around her waste, and put her hands back around his neck. Nick finally gave in, and kissed her back. He knew he liked the first kiss, and more the second, but he liked this the best. He didn’t think teasing her like that would get her to kiss him like this, but it’s what worked. Nick was complaining any anyways, he knew he liked it, a lot. Sara pulled away, and then looked into Nick’s ocean blue eyes.
“Well, that better have worked.”
“Okay, it kinda did, but only if it continues.” Nick said. He was smiling so hard he almost started laughing. Sara laughed. He was so adorable in his kiddish ways. She went back to kissing him. They rolled around in the sand. Nick ended up on Sara and Sara’s hands move from Nick’s neck, to his hair, She ran her fingers through his golden hair. Nick loved it, in fact, it was driving him crazy. Time was flowing by, and the two just laid in the sand, playing around with each other.
Nick got up, and picked Sara up. He carried her into the water, where it was a little higher than his knees. It was freezing. Then, he pretended to drop her and she screamed, reaching up for Nick’s neck and her hands clung there, like a cat. He laughed.
“Don’t worry, I wouldn’t drop you, like this.” He pretended to drop her again. “Nick stop! It’s freezing. I’m wearing shorts and a tank top!” Sara cried, she didn’t like this.
“Okay, I’m sorry. He carried her out from the water, and then up to his car. He set her down in front of her door, then opened it. She kept quiet, she was sort-of mad at Nick for doing that to her. But got in. Then Nick walked around and got in. He looked at Sara, and saw she was mad.
“I’m sorry.” He said, giving her puppy eyes. Although, Sara didn’t respond. “Look, I said I’m sorry, and trust me, I am.” He still saw how upset she was, so he leaned over and kissed her. He put her hands around his neck and kissed her, as passionately as she kissed him on the beach. Sara pulled away. Nick got out. Sara saw him dissappear, and got a little frightened.
Her door opened, but no one was there. She got very scared and decided to find Nick. She stepped out, and cried his name. There was no answer. She called it again, but someone’s hand came from behind her and covered her mouth. The pulled her down to the ground, and covered her eyes. She felt a stranger’s lips come over hers. She pushed the hands over from her eyes. She looked up to see Nick’s face. All Sara could do was kiss him back. She knew she wanted to and couldn’t hold it back.
They both rolled around in the sand more, and started to make out.
After a half hour or so, they got up and finally got in the car and drove to Sara’s.
“Do you want me to walk you to your door?”
“No, I don’t want my parents to hear, they’d kill me if they knew I was out this late, and with a dangerous boy like you!” She lied about her parents, she knew they weren’t home, but Nick had definately worn her out. Nick grinned at her.
“Okay, well, atleast let me walk you half way!” “No, don’t worry, I’ll be fine! I’ll call you if I’m scared!”
“Are you sure?” Sara nodded. “Okay, well, good-bye and thanks for the great night. He reached over and gave her a quick kiss. She opened the door, and shut it lightly. Smiled and walked toward her house.
Nick thought to himself about the night, as he drove away. He knew that was one of the greatest nights of his life, with a girl anyways! He couldn’t wait to get together again with her!
Sara pulled her key out from her pocket. She tried to get it in the door, but she screamed and dropped it. Something tapped her on the shoulder, she turned around immedialtely.
