The Brothers of Chi Beta Beta held it’s 1st Annual Brother Hood Retreat during the weekend of January 24th – 26th at the Wingate Inn in Bloomington, IL.

Consistent with the adopted theme of our beloved Fraternity, the Retreat was appropriately titled Economic Empowerment Leading to Social and Political Change.

The program began with a welcome message from our Basileus who also lead a discussion on men’s physical and mental health. Sessions on Chapter By-Laws including the Roles and Responsibilities of Officers, How to Chair a Project, Parliamentary Procedures and the Membership Selection Program rounded out the business meeting portion of the Retreat.

An evening social was hosted in our hospitality suite with our wayward brothers being the guests of honor. The social provided an opportunity for brothers to fellowship “Omega style”.

A Super Bowl party for our friends and supporters concluded the weekend’s events. Brother’s displayed their culinary skills especially their brewing talents. The food was great, including that home made potato salad and my famous baked beans.

Our combined energy and enthusiasm was infectious this weekend and makes me proud to say Omega Psi Phi till the day I die!
