To kiss is like drinking tea from a tea-strainer - you always want more.

Old chinese saying 

Iced Lavender-Mint Tea Punch

6 teaspoons dried mint
6 cups boiling water
1 tablesppon dried lavender blossoms
1 liter bottle ginger ale
1 cup purple grape juice
Ice cubes, fresh mint leaf frozen in each

Brew the mint in the water in a teapot for 10 minutes.  Add the lavender blossoms to the pot.  Allow tea to cool.  Strain the tea, and add ginger ale, grape juice and ice cubes.  If serving in a punch bowl, float lavender buds and mint sprigs on top.

Oatmeal Muffins

2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teasppon salt
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup cold cooked oatmeal
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons shortening, melted

Mix and sift dry ingresients.  Combine remaining ingredients and add to first mixture.  Stir only enough to dampen flour.  Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full and bake in hot oven (425 degrees F) about 25 minutes.  Makes 12 large muffins
