Wading Gear

To make wading more fun and enjoyable good wade gear makes a difference in staying out all day or just a few hours.Theres only three major things you'll need to make your wading better.

Chest/Hip Waders

Chest waders and hip waders are a must if you plan on fishing early spring and late fall.Quality Neoprene waders are a must for cool water fishing to stay warm and dry.I bought a pair of Rocky 5mm Neoprene Swamp Stalkers w/boots and they are great for the winter months. In the spring and fall light weight waders work great.During summer though, all you need is some old tennis shoes and shorts.I bought a pair of Orvis neoprene wading shoes for summer wading and they work great for keeping rocks out of my boots which happens a lot in clean gravel streams with regular tennis shoes..

Fishing Vests

A good fishing vest is a must if you plan on carrying lots of lures. We usually walk for many hours and carry lots of lures, camera and something to drink. With tackle bags they get in the way and finding lures in a tackle bag is a hassel, with a vest its much easier to find what you need to get back fishing.

Polarized Sunglasses

Polarized glasses are a must for clear water fishing.Spotting structure like boulders, stumps and even spotting fish to cast too.Plus they cut down sunlight glare to your eyes so you can see better on sunny summer days.On cloudy over cast days they help cut through the water to spot fish also.
