An Innocent Beginning...

One thing that you must always remember is that you  did not know you would become an alcoholic.  The only way they found out was to take the first drink, and it probably never crossed your mind that it might start a cycle.  If you are reading this you are feeling the effects of that cycle.  No matter what part you yourself are in, unless the need to quit comes around, the cycle will continue to repeat it self over and over again.

How can you tell whether you may have a drinking problem? Answering the following four questions can help you find out. (To help remember these questions, note that the first letter of a key word in each of the four questions spells "CAGE.")

Have you ever felt you should Cut down on your drinking?
Have people Annoyed you by criticizing your drinking?
Have you ever-felt bad or Guilty about your drinking?
Have you ever had a drink first thing in the morning to steady your nerves or to get rid of a hangover (Eye opener)?

One "yes" response suggests a possible alcohol problem
