Pre-Production A-0 Markings

The Ta 154 Moskito, built in response to the British aircraft of the same name, was a fascinating aircraft. It was primarily designed to combat RAF nightly bombing raids against German urban and industrial centers. It was developed as a specialized two-seat shoulder- wing monoplane made of wood throughout in order ta utilize the skills of trained German woodworkers. However, only a handful actually saw operational service after the Moskito's introduction in January of 1945. Armament consisted of two nose-mounted 20 mm MG 151/20 and two 30 mm MK 108 cannons, plus a single MK 108 in the rear fuselage. The aircraft was powered by two 1500 HP Jumo 211R 12 cylinder inverted vee engines and could attain a maximum speed of 404 MPH. This kit contains the parts and markings to build the A-0 pre-production version of the Moskito. The parts are molded in light gray and clear. The decals are silkscreen printed.
