The first studio LP that Bob was involved in and with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange at the helm ... boy
was he involved ... Tommy broke seven snare heads recording this song setting a new international mark for
ballads ... still one of my favorite Stanley / Pelander collaborations ... Bob: " There was a great string chart on the
original version that was nixed in the final mix by Clive Davis himself ..." The original version also had electric
piano and a different lead vocal ... great solo by newcomer Gary Markasky who replaced the departed Mr.
Koslen ...
