This web page follows the journey of 2 veterans on a return trip to Vietnam from 25 February thru March 15, 2003. We served at different times (1965-66 and 1968-69) and different places - the Danang (I Corps) area with the Marines 3rd Marine Division and the Central Highlands (II Corps) with the Army's 4th Infantry Division.
Our goals were to learn more about ourselves and the Vietnamese people we never really had the opportunity to know. We started in the old North areas of Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, and other areas. Then we moved south to the former Marine area of Operation around Danang, Hue, and Hoi An. The next segment took us to Pleiku, Kontum, and Dak To in the Central Highlands. We then traveled to the coastal cities of Qui Nhon, Nha Trang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The pictures speak for themselves but we have added locations and explanations to tell a story about individual journeys.
