Here are some of my favorite images from the world's largest Star Wars event ever, held May 3-5 2002 at Indianapolis. A HUGE thanks to Lucasfilm and Wizards of the Coast for the event, and for inviting the 501st to play a critical part in bringing the Star Wars experience to each and every guest. Enjoy!
We start off with the lovely Michonne Bourriague, who plays the striking bounty hunter Aurra Sing. I thanked her for wearing my favorite shirt! LOL.....
The man himself....Darth Vader. It was truly amazing to meet the man who brought us the greatest villan ever. Mr. Prowse is currently the Legion Commander of the Fighting 501st Stormtrooper Legion, which has nearly 1,000 members worldwide. How appropriate that our boss in the films is our boss real life. He was extremely kind and patient with the thousands of fans that wanted autographs.
Here I am dueling it out with one of many jedi present at the convention. She yields one of the amazingly life-like neon sabers, with which she kicked my armored butt!
My favorite costume of all was this amazing, high quality replica of the stormtrooper, based on the concept sketches. This is the only suit I know of like this.
Though not your standard trooper, this guy made quite an impression on everyone. Be sure to visit the site he's advertising!

I seem to have stumbled upon a little confrontation...
And the "I can't believe my eyes" award from C2 goes to the George Lucas lookalike! He finally donned an X wing pilot's suit Sunday and took his place inside the life-size action figure card......it's not fair! I labored for weeks to achieve MY action figure status!
