Flip the Sea Otter

By Jayge Coinstar

Oh...there was fishin' otter named Flip,
learned the trade from 'is ol' pal Skip,
and never did he mind when 'is tail was bit
'cause he'd fish 'em out and cook 'em on a spit

Oh Flip would fish and then he'd laugh
he'd catch those fish all day,
but when he learned of vermin patrollin' the shores
he got up and went away!

Oh ding diddle ay ding do
Oh ding diddle ay de de,

He took a spear an' took a fish
and went searching on the sea!

Oh Flip didn't know what danger was,
or what may lay ahead,
but he knew he was better off than the fish,
at least he wasn't dead!

He sung
Oh ding diddle ay ding do
Oh ding diddle ay de de

Never was there a braver fisherbeast than he!

Oh Flip went lookin' and found a boat
full of corsair foul,
but he didn't give up,
no he wouldn't just quit but he gave an awful scowl.

The corsairs on their ship,
were mighty scared of Flip,
but they sang:

Oh... ding diddle ay ding do
Oh ding diddle ay de de

A braver fisherbeast than Flip
we know there'll never be!
