The Wanderer's Song

By Jayge Coinstar

Oh, the rhythm that I follow
will lead me to my Abbey home,
and when I have conquered all vermin
I will wander no more.

That's why I follow my rhythm
and watch my shining star,
so that someday I'll reach the shore,
and when my job is over
I will need to wander no more.

Oh, the road is long and dusty
and time's taken its toll on me,
but when I finish my duty,
I'll finally be free.

So I'll keep on following that rhythm
wherever it may lead,
and though I'm hungry and tired,
no vermin stand a chance in battle
when it comes to facing me.

Ever on and on the path stretches before my eyes.
When I sing out to the sunlight,
while I still have breath
no goodbeast ever cries.

Look always to the sunset,
and if there a shadow lies,
don't fear and don't worry,
'cause I'm coming home you'll realize.
Coming home to my Abbey,
for I'll be a wanderer no more.
