MILE"28"
Pungo Ferry Highway Bridge is just 250 yd. ahead. The anchorage is to starboard in front of the ski ramp. The depth is around 10 ft. (tide approx. 1 ft.). The bottom is mud and good holding, but because of the water sports which are popular here, this is not a good anchorage for more than just over night. Below the bridge is a small area after red marker "42" where you can stay during daylight hours. Anchor on the east side. You may want to set a second hook to stop your swing into the main channel.

Got to take this one out I have been told access has been cut off by a bar of sand or mud draft over the bar is 10 or 18 inches. Pungo Ferry Highway Bridge is just 250 yd. ahead.
