3-01-03 - I took Ben and Angie up to 2 days of the 4 day Collie specialty shows in Toledo, OH. Saturday there were 29 smooths entered, 10 of which were males. All showed up. Ben went WINNERS DOG! for his first points - a 5 point major. Under Collie breeder judge Adria Weiner!!

Ben is my first Smooth Collie. He was born February 2nd. 2001, and as you can see is a blue merle. He has a mild Choroidal hypoplasia eye check... Ben just recently started his show career. Check out his show results page to see how he has done so far.

This pup was born in Alabama, at Apple Valley Collies, bred by Rayleen A. Hendrix. The litter is sired by Ch. Capella's Midnight Blues (Ch. Vennessee's Midnight Express Rom X Ch. Lisara's Slick Chic), and is out of Apple Valley Abigail (Ch. Apple Valley Signature X Bolyn's Movin' On Up - dam of 6 champions).

This my Smooth boy and I really love this this goofy dog. He looks a whole lot different now, but is looking great! Watch for him in the show ring in and around Ohio and the surrounding states.


This is one of my favorite pictures of Ben and his brother together. They were about 7 weeks of age here, and are pictured at their breeders. Isn't it a great pictures? :)
