| Background: Skaja is the second oldest of Nine children born to the royal family of Mawhonic. Powerful warriors and true lycanthropes, his bloodline has ruled the kingdom for millenia. Unlike his family history, however; he developed an ability with magic at a young age. Seeing his skill, his mother immediately began teaching him in the magic arts and by the time he was ten years old, he was surpassing his tutors. Upon his eighteenth year, he was indicted into the Loup Garou, and remained content within it's sanctuary until the age of twenty. Upon his twentieth year, Skaja was chosen by Sivitri to represent him, and the neutral evil ethical path, on the Council of Nine in Nevermore. Strengths: Psychic aptitude makes Skaja a formidable opponent. He can see into the very core of his victim's soul and pull out what it is that pains them the most emotionally, then amplify it a dozen fold-he is able to grieve his target into the grave without ever actually touching them. In physical combat, a simple scratch upon the flesh can become a lethal wound in the mind of his foe, rendering them unable to continue their onslaught and writhing in phantom agony that can last however long Skaja wills it until he allows them to eventually convince themselves into death. Upon his touch, gloved or not, he can then mentally search his victim's body for ailments or injury-no matter how old the infliction-and then bring to the foremost thought on their mind, wracking the mind with anguish and the body with pain. Weaknesses: Though a mental powerhouse, Skaja is a relatively weak hand to hand combatant. He is exceptional in skill, but lacks the momentum to either initiate or continue physical combat, he much prefers to mesmerize his opponent into despondency and watch them gradually mourn to death. Other: He is extremely protective of his younger brother Skanyo, often overprotective. They are the only members of their family to follow a dark path. Should his brother ever call on him for aid, Skaja will waste no time complying, no matter the cost. His weapon, Leviathan's Tail, is a combination between a stave, a flail and a whip. It takes a focussed precision to manipulate that only Skaja has really been able to master and while anyone can actually wield it, he's the only who can avoid beating himself senseless with it. Special Skills:
Gloom: Searching the mind of his target, Skaja will find the one most emotionally painful event in their memory and telepathically speak them back into mourning. This state of anguish lasts until he either releases them, or they simply grieve themselves to death.
Heartache: Playing on his victim's want and need for love, Skaja can make a spouse believe their husband or wife has died, is cheating on them, or has simply abandoned them. He can turn lovers against one another in jealous fits of doubt, and agonize parents with either amplified memories of a dead child or the belief that their living child has perished.
Mourn: Mourn is an extension of Gloom in which Skaja will link one person's mind with another's causing his target to feel irreconsirable grief for anyone or anything those they're linked to has ever lost, be it a parent, child, pet, lover or friend. Unless released, the victim will grieve themselves into the grave, much like Gloom.
Guardian Stats
SORROW and LAMENT
These two white wolves protect Skaja both physically and mentally. Killed by a human poaching within the Mawhonican borders when he was five, Skaja grieved them so greatly, that the god Sivitri retrieved their souls from the underworld and appointed them his guardians. Their combined spirits prevent any psychic interference between their master and any outside force making him immune to any and all illusions, charms or other tricks of the mind. He also cannot be detected by psychic means so long as Sorrow and Lament are both together. Their main skill, called Bewail, is a harmony of howls that begin with only the two of them, but draw phantom howls from the grave to inflict their target's conscience-or even the lack thereof-and causes them to feel unrelenting grief for anyone or anything they've ever taken the life of. Be it a spider, a fly, a deer or man, they are suddenly overcome with incosolable anguish and regret.
