Appearance: Wears black trousers, generally close to the body, a gray, sleeveless shirt with a green vest. He wears two sets of gloves, a green pair which reach just below the shoulder and a black pair with varying fingers removed. His black hair is ankle length and tied with two green ribbons. He carries his thieves tools in various pouches on a belt around his waist. Background: Orphaned at birth, Rufio was raised by a small clan of mages who practiced the dead magic art of the Sigil. When the clan was discovered and destroyed by the townspeople for fear they would upset the gods, Rufio managed to escape and honed his skills on the streets as a thief. Strengths: Magic and acrobatics. Rufio's talents with the Sigil are extreme and exact, his magic spells are unbreakable, though rarely are their effects permanent. He uses Saturn's Magic Box and believes from his clan raising that he draws his power from that planet. He's an exceptional athlete and acrobat, so tumbling, jumping and climbing are all skills he's masterful of. Weaknesses: Though a master of the Sigil, it's the only magic that Rufio knows. He carries a mastered silence rune, but doesn't know how to use it, and is vulnerable to any spell cast from any runestone. He's also deaf, so it can be a simple task to sneak up on him if he can't see you in his peripheral vision or in a reflective surface such as water or glass. Other: The colors of Rufio's Sigils demonstrate not only their power, but their purpose. An elemental spell will take on the colors commonly identified with such spells: red and orange for fire, blue and white for water, green and brown for earth and white, blue and green for wind. While possessing no true elemental strength in magical base, Rufio will more predominantly trust an elemental earth based ally, since Saturn's element is earth. Runes Mastered Silence Special Skills Rufio really only has one limit skill. It comes in three parts, but requires knowing the target's name: I. Signed - using Saturn's Magic Box (an invisible numerical chart), Rufio will draw the Sigil of the intended target's name, which focuses the magic on that person alone. II. Sealed - once the Sigil of the person's name is drawn, Rufio will then cast a spell of holding, which paralyzes the victim making them unable to either speak or move. III. Delivered - the last part depends upon either Rufio's mood or the request of someone he's with. His attack at this point can vary between death and any kind of permanent status, such as blind, silence or confusion. Signed, Sealed and Delivered's main advantage is that no matter where his target may be, Rufio can still cast any form of magic upon them simply by knowing their name. Distance and obstacles are irrelevant. Guardian Stats OBSIDIAN Obsidian is a demon trapped within a Sigil that forces him to use his powers for a worthy cause. He was given to Rufio by one of the mages before the clan was destroyed. He has no attack, but acts as a messenger, repeating someone's spoken words in telepathy, so Rufio is always aware of any conversation around him. |
