the Kingdom of Mawhonic

The Mawhonican Kingdom occupies the western corner of the western continent. It is goverened by a lycanthropic monarchy and has strained relations with neighboring Astoria over land and mineral rights. There is also a tense xenophobia on the parts of both nations, Astoria distrustful of the lycanthropes and likewise, Mawhonic distrustful of the humans, this has only served to bring about war and turmoil until recently when a half-lycanthrope ascended the Astorian throne.

Greywater: Stationed on the border between Mawhonic and Astoria, Greywater guards patrol the territorial boundary between the two nations. They serve to not only keep Astorians out of Mawhonic, but to likewise, keep lycanthropes out of Astoria. Not as heavily guarded, they also line the boundary between Mawhonic and Tri Ceras, though relations between the two territories have eased the strictness of their patrol checkpoints.

The city also houses the high council of the Loup Garou, lycanthropes able to utilize powerful magic, and is home to the top 5 most powerful magicians in the world. Its major production, however; is military power, one of the strongest on the planet.

The cities of Mawhonic are protected by magical shields that mask not only their true appearance, but their depth and population as well. Outside the barriers, a few scattered huts and tents can be seen scattered along the mountainside, but once inside the magical shield, the city comes alive with the common hustle and bustle of any metropolis. To the outside world, the nation plays dumb, but the Kingdom of Mawhonic is the most technologically advanced people in the world.
