Appearance: Ix doesn't appear to be anything more than a normal 16 year old boy. When Raven was turned against him by Zarre, Ix's blue eyes finally turned vampiric red. He wears black trousers and boots, but wears no shirt, only a gray overcoat to conceal his wings.

Background: Very little is known of Ix's true past. He was born in Metzengerstein during the time when the world was still split into kingdoms. He is called Ix because he is the 9th commanding general of the warlord Zarre, making his way up the ranks of his master's vampiric empire by gradual steps, his brethren before him either being killed by outside forces, or by Zarre himself. He found love one time, but once Zarre gained control of Raven and she abandoned him to take her place at the warlord's side, Ix fell into a state of sudden madness. His blue eyes turned blood red, the last part of his once human body shifting eternally vampiric with the loss of his heart. Fearing his retalliation, Zarre managed to use his new bride into luring Ix into the open and would have killed him if not for Raven's intervention. Locked away with no means of escape due to the magical seal around his cell, Ix fell into deeper insanity, carving foreign symbols on the stone walls of his prison, patterns of his madness that seemingly have no meaning except to display his decaying mind. He was eventually rescued by his long time friend and now only trusted ally, Triskelion Shyft, and together they are in search of the one and only thing upon the earth that will free his beloved from her prison at Zarre's side.

Strengths: Ix is death based, he wanders around in the spectral plane, but can't actually touch anything while not in his corporeal body. While in his spectral form, he can attack his opponent with his telekinetic abilities and can use all but one of his limit breaks. He cannot be seen (except by Atticus), which makes him that much more difficult to fight. His element is fire, so he's strong against lightning and other any related magic.

Weaknesses: He's weak versus water, earth, and against physical attacks. He will often shift spectral in battle to avoid physical contact as generally one hit will effectively knock him out of a fight. His most prominent weakness, however; is his madness, and he finds it difficult to see past the loss of his one true love, building his hatred for his former master and for all other members of his own kind.

Other: Ix's stave can only be used in the physical plane, when he shifts spectral, it simply drops to the ground where he once was. He does, however, have a backdoor to this dilemma in Semper. She can follow him into the spectral realm and become whatever weapon he wishes her to be. Once he returns to the physical plane, no matter how far he's wandered in it, his stave will always return to him-even if picked up by someone. The seemingly useless symbols he's carved into his cell walls are not just simple patterns of his madness, they're the spectral names of the dead, written in death's own language. With his knowledge of death's tongue, Ix can summon the dead at anytime he pleases simply by calling their names. Once risen, they are completely under his control and will not stop until their bodies have been literally destroyed, meaning turned to dust-for even if the bones are knocked apart, they will still move.

Limit Skills
I. Ash - Ix has to actually touch his opponent for ash to work, but it's instant cremation should he succeed.
II. Lazarus - this limit focuses the enemy's soul. Essentially reaching into their spectral self, Ix can grab hold of their soul and pull it 'free'. Doing this immediately kills the body and resurrects the soul to serve his 'master'. (once Zarre tore Raven from his side, "Lazarus" has become used purely to create a body which he can then call upon as soldier to do his own bidding)
III. Kamikaze - using this limit break, Ix can 'coax' a person's skeleton into walking out of their body.


Guardian Stats
SEMPER & WHIM
Semper is completely intangible, nothing can actually touch her outside the spectral realm, but she can mold her body into whatever form she wants, providing it's inanimate. Whim is also an intangible creature, a dragon, but without the ability to polymorph his body. He instead cocoons Ix's enemies in a substance called Dracoplasm which gradually saps their strength and will eventually kill them if not freed. (note, the only thing that will break a Dracoplasmic cocoon is saltwater)
