| Background: Born in the city of Scyphus, Brekken emerged as a criminal mastermind by the age of 9 and was a terror to his parents who were regularily forced into the uncomfortable position of trying to explain their son's kleptomania. Finally fed up with his antics, his father shipped him off to Ligeia at the age of 10 where he began the grueling chore of tedeous studies under one of the most strict and disciplinary teachers in the city. Forced to learn through shere brute strength, Brekken's criminal nature was turned somewhat into brilliant stragetic thought and by the age of 14 he'd surpassed his tutor in terms of knowledge. Bored and far more powerful than when he began his studies, his mind led him to catch the eye of a sage of Nevermore, visiting Ligeia for supplies. He quickly escorted the then 15 year old Brekken back to Nevermore where he began his studies to become a master sage. During this time, he became one of the sages who created runestones from dragon scales, electing his preferred source: Shadow Dragons. By doing so, he soon began to undergo the transformation that his other fellow runemakers suffered, and within months became a Dragonite. Enduring the gynarchy and heavily female society for a number of centuries, Brekken finally snapped and fled their island colony, unable to be looked upon as a slave any longer and found his way into the position of Jitara's high priest under the name Cajole Foxx, hiding his true identity from the rest of the world for a century until the day of his alter ego's death at the hands of the very goddess he'd sworn fealty to. Strengths: Shadow magic is Brekken's one true strength, a master of it and it's submagic of spectral integration, he can use both the shadows and the spirits of the living or dead to his advantage. He can disappear within any shadow, and move as silently as one, making him both a silent and invisible opponent should the need arise. He is also capable of creating a shadow from nothing, even in the brightest lit room, he can create a shadow of an item that is not there, using the spectral plane to provide a source. He is also an exceptionally agile athlete, with sub-par hand to hand combat skills, it's his preference, however; to fight from a distance by hurling his javelins from afar. Weaknesses: Holy is obviously Brekken's main weakness and an attack from a holy based foe will seriously diminish his chances of effectively counter-attacking. He is also extremely conscious of his wings and greatfully wore the robes of his priesthood. Other: Brekken is not evil, he is inherantly dark natured, but not necessarily evil and maintaining that facade as Jitara's priest put tremendous strain on his mental state. He also tends to be exceptionally dominant around women, after being opressed by them for several centuries within the Dragonite colony, he has become accustomed to being on either equal or self-dominant terms with females and was prone to displaying exceptional cruelty to the female worshippers of Jitara. Runes: Triple Mastered Shadow Special Skills: Creeping Paranoia: This skills brings to life every shadow Brekken's target passes and causes it to follow them, concealing themselves if the victim turns around. Inducing hysteria in the victim, the shadow army will wait until their target has become a quivering mass of fear and panic before finally striking. This attack can take years to cumulate, but when it does, the result is death by pure fright. Spectral Portal: Using his spectral portal, Brekken can transport his body to any location, including the Dragonite colony. Summon Shadow: This skill requires physical guidance on Brekken's part. Using his hands and his body to create a puppet on a nearby wall or even the ground, he will then bring it to life and sic it on his opponent. Whiplash: This skill causes his victim's inherant spectral spirit to emerge from their body and inhabit the physical plane. When seperate from the living body, the spirit is able to add to any conflict physically, providing an extra ally, the result is that when it returns to its source, the body will then be suddenly stricken with any pain or injury the spirit obtained while in combat. Guardian Stats: LEASHAQUE Leashaque is a jaguar able to disappear within her spots and become essentially invisible. Her main attack is called Velvet Paw and is purely phyiscal, lunging from the shadows with a snarl to swipe and claw at Brekken's foe. She does, however; have a magic attack, Liquid Velvet, which is a shadowed tidal wave that crashes down on her target with immense force, causing devastating shadow damage. |
