What I have learned

"Never ruin an apology with an excuse"

I am sure, you have run across these words on the net a few times.
I am also sure that you have learned at least one of these yourself.
Take with you what you have learned. If you don't like what you have seen in this world.
you have the power within yourself to change it.

~ China ~

I've Learned -
that you cannot make someone love you,
All you can do is
be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.

I've learned -
that no matter how much I care,
some people just don't care back.

I've learned -
that it's not what you have in your life,
but who you have in your life that counts.

I've learned -
that you can get by on charm
for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you better know something.

I've learned -
that you shouldn't compare
yourself to the best others can do,
but to the best you can do.

I've learned -
that it's not what happens to people
that's important..I'ts what they do about it.

I've learned -
that you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.

I've learned -
that no matter how thin you slice it,
there are always two sides.

I've learned -
that it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.

I've learned -
that it's a lot easier
to react than it is to think.

I've learned -
that you should always leave
loved ones withloving words.
It may be the last time you see them.

I've learned -
that you can keep going
long after you think you can't.

I've learned -
that we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

I've learned -
that either you control your attitude
or it controls you.

I've learned -
that regardless of how hot and steamy
a relationship is at first,
the passion fades and there had better be
something else to take its place.

I've learned -
that heroes are the people
who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I've learned -
that learning to forgive takes practice.

I've learned -
that there are people who love you dearly,
but just don't know how to show it.

I've learned -
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I've learned -
that my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned -
that sometimes the people you expect
to kick you when you're down
will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned -
that sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry
but that doesn't give me
the right to be cruel.

I've learned -
that true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I've learnded -
that just because someone doesn't love you
the way you want them to doesn't mean
they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned -
that maturity has more to do with
what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them
and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned -
that you should never tell a child
their dreams are unlikely or outlandish.
Few things are more humiliating, and
what a tragedy it would be
if they believed it.

i've learned -
that your family won't always
be there for you. It may seem funny,
but people you aren't related to
can take care of you and love you
and teach you to trust people again
Families aren't biological.

I've learned -
that no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you
every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned -
that it isn't always enough
to be forgiven by others
Sometimes you have to learn
to forgive yourself.

I've learned -
that no matter how bad
your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned -
that our background and circumstances
may have influenced who, we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned
that sometimes when my friends fight,
I'm forced to choose sides
even when I don't want to.

I've learned -
that just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other
And just because they don't agrue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned -
that sometimes you have to put
the individual ahead of their actions.

I've learned -
that we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.

I've learned -
that two people can look
at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.

I've learned -
that no matter how you try to protect
your children, they will eventually get hurt
and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned -
that there are many ways of falling
and staying in love.

I've learned -
that no matter the consequences,
those who are honest with themselves
get farther in life.

I've learned -
that no matter how many friends you have,
if you are their pillar you will feel lonely
and lost at the times you need them most.

I've learned -
that your life can be changed
in a matter of hours
by people who don't even know you.

I've learned -
that even when you think
you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.

I've learned -
that writing, as well as talking,
can ease emotional pains.

I've learned -
that the paradigm we live in
is not all that is offered to us.

I've learned -
that credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.

I've learned -
that the people you care most about in life,
are taken from you to soon.

I've learned -
that although the word "love"
can have many different meanings,
it loses value when overly used.

I've learned -
that it's hard to determine
where to draw the line
between being nice and
not hurting people's feelings
and standing up for what you believe.

Strong Woman vs. Woman of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape...but
a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape...

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything...but
a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear...

A strong woman won't let anyone get the best of her...but
a woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone...

A strong woman walks sure footedly...but
a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls...

A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face...but
a woman of strength wears grace...

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the
journey...but a woman of strength has faith that it is in
the journey that she will become strong.

The following words are from my friend Dragon..He always start my day off with a smile.

-- Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

-- When you lose, dont lose the lesson.

-- Follow the three R's: Respect for self, Respect for others,
and Responsibility for all your actions.

-- Remember that not getting what you want
is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

-- Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

-- Dont let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

-- When you realize youve made a mistake,
take immediate steps to correct it.

-- Spend some time alone everyday.

-- Open you arms to change, but dont let go of your values.

-- Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

-- Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back,
youll be able to enjoy it a second time.

-- A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
-- In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation.
Dont bring up the past.

-- Share your knowledge. Its a way to achieve immortality.

-- Be gentle with the earth.

-- Once a year, go somewhere you have never gone before.

-- Remember that the best relationship is
one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

-- Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

-- Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER

I would have invited friends over to
dinner even if the carpet was
stained and the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in
the "GOOD" living room and
worried much less about the dirt
when someone wanted to light a fire
in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to
listen to my grandfather ramble
about his youth.
I would never have insisted the car
windows be rolled up on a
summer day because my hair had just
been teased and sprayed.

I would have burned the pink candle
sculpted like a rose before it
melted in storage.

I would have sat on the lawn with my
children and not worried
about grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less
while watching television and
more while watching life.

I would have gone to bed when I was
sick instead of pretending the
earth would go into a holding
pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would never have bought anything
just because it was practical,
wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed
to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months
of pregnancy, I'd have
cherished every moment realizing
that the wonderment growing inside
me was the only chance in life to
assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously,
I would never have said,
"Later. Now go get washed up for dinner."

There would have been more "I love you's"
and more "I'm sorry's"

.....but mostly, given another shot
at life, I would seize every
minute.....look at it and really see
it ... live it ... and never give it back.

Nobody Knows

I pretend that I'm glad you went away
But these four walls close in more every day
And I'm dying inside and nobody knows it but me
Like a clown, I put on a show
The pain is real even if nobody knows
And I'm crying inside and nobody knows it but me

Why didn't I say the things I needed to say
How could I let my angel get away
Now my world is just a-tumblin' down
I can say it so clearly but you're nowhere around
The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
And I just keep thinkin' about the love that we had
And I'm missing you and nobody knows it but me

How blue can I get, you could ask my heart
Just like a jigsaw puzzle, it's been torn all apart
A million words couldn't say just how I feel
A million years from now, you know, I'll be loving you still
The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
And I just keep thinkin' about the love that we had
And I'm missing you and nobody knows it but me

The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
I just keep thinkin' about the love that we had
Nobody knows it but me
