Precious Burke
I feel it is only right to mention, Burke Hamilton Ramsey. Not as the murderer, but as the victim. This poor child has not only lost his little sister and his best friend- he has lost his childish innocence as well. Just imagine what this young boy is going though. Trying to grieve over the death of JonBenet, but can't, becuase of us...the media. We are all guilty. We are the media. We are the ones that are torturing this family. US! ME! YOU! We are the ones that are buying the tabloids and the books. We are buying into this. I may think the Ramseys are innocent; but I admit I buy the tabloids. I don't believe them, but I buy them. I am giving them my money; which means I am supporting them. I am guilty of supporting this mess and my guess is you are too. We all are. The media is calling his parents 'murderers'. How do you think Burke feels when he goes to the grocery store and sees the tabloids with headlines 'Daddy Did It!' and 'Mommy Killed JonBenet'. Can we even imagine this childs' pain? I can't. Burke is now 13 years old. His parents have said "He is a normal 13 year old". He has great friends that support him, including his best friend 13 year old Doug. Burke is another victim in this case. He was murdered. Not his body; but his soul.
