Aloha!

All the feelings this week! Poor Steve! Poor Danny! Fuck off, Lori!

Seriously, who knows if Scott and Alex know what they've done, but it's clear they intend on doing it no matter what the writers or producers have to say about it. In the very first episode we saw Steve take on not just a work partner, but a life partner. His immediate interest and care not for Danny but for Danny as Grace's father and as a divorced man and as a stranger in a strange land, if you will, was extraordinary! And you could see Steven--stoic, badass, dick-to-the-Governor, I-have-no-feelings, crimesolving super ninja Navy SEAL guy turn into this absolute pile of mush in the wake of hurricane Danno, whose feelings bleed out all over his sleeve, from his heart, in his hair, just everywhere.
Honestly, this was just the first episode!!
And then we got backpats, and handshakes, and carguments and lingering looks and fond assessments of each others chests and asses and we survived the ex wife and the lieutenant with benefits and the sister and Steve trying to go it alone and in the midst of it all we got A DATE for god's sake! A date, I might add that ended with Danny telling Steve "I love you". Oi!! And now Grace calls him "uncle Steve". And panic when either one gets injured. And when the ex-wife came back we got huge hugs and a shit ton of eye fucking between the boys to balance it out.
So, for those who are thrown by having stupid Lori in the show, so awkward and clearly not belonging in any way shape or form, let us not forget. We had Danny sleeping in Steve's house; we had eye fuckery galore. We had ANOTHER DATE! We had that date feature watching ENEMY MINE and TEARS. We had Danny fucking off to N Korea to save Steve, and Steve promising he'd think of Danny the whole time he was there! We have had new carguments and horseback riding (married) and all those knowing looks from Chin and Kono while Lori remains utterly clueless.
So don't despair when there are too many plot holes, explosions and women. It's just TPTB trying to keep up their end of the deal, while Steve and Danny continue to dance for us.
