The 688 page book, first published in 1975, is a compilation of researched genealogical material, prepared by my father, John C. Sebring, and his cousin, Walter W. Sebring. The history of the family begins with Roelof Lukassen Seubring of the Netherlands and the emigration of his five children to New Amsterdam in the mid-1600's. The book primarily follows the family of Jan Roelofse Sebring and Adrianna Polhemius with descendants as known in 1975. Other families explored in some depth include: POLHEMIUS, BENNETT, EDWARDS, HARTZELL, HUMES, HARRIS, CORSON, WICKHAM, STRYCKER and VAN VOORHEES. The book is an exact facsimile of the original; hardbound in dark blue, 8 1/2 x 11, 688 pages, 7000+ name index. The original sold well and a first reprint was published in 1987, and a second reprint in 1999. The reprint is being published by Windmill Publications, Inc.
