In My Dreams

I’ve seen stars shining

brightly but their away so far; Then I stare into your blue eyes and there they are.

Your long, auburn, hair

so beautiful with curls abound; How I longed to run through them, softly, never to be found.

There’s a happiness I

can only find in a childs smile; I’ve searched, mistakenly, for it was in yours all the while.

You were there beside

me through my saddest years; When I sat down beside you, that feeling wiped away my tears.

There was this glow of

love that would come off of you in rays; I felt it in me sometimes, lighting up my nights, making my brightest days.

It’s sad how time can

make two close friends drift apart; Time flies by but these feelings will never fly away from my heart.

There will always be that

place, for you, inside me deep; That feeling is in me, crying because it knows now I must sleep.

Sometimes the crying

is so soft, sometimes it screams; It always stops when I tell it “It’s okay, she’ll be with you in my dreams.”
