How many times have I sinned, And broken Jesus' heart; He loved me from the first, But I failed Him from the start; At Calvary no one could see, How my sins all played their part; They put the scars in His hands, But I put scars upon on His heart. No one could see His deepest wound, When He was hanging there; His holy heart was breaking, From the sins He had to bear; I wasn't there at Calvary, To hammer down the nails; I put scars on His heart, Every time I failed. How many times have I sinned, And broken Jesus' heart; He loved me from the first, But I failed Him from the start; At Calvary no one could see, How my sins all played their part; They put the scars in His hands, But I put scars upon on His heart. They put the scars in His hands, But I put scars upon His heart.
