PEACE BE STILL

Out on the stormy sea a boat was being battered by the waves,
The wind had blown, the rain had fallen,
They'd given up all hope of being saved;
Yet there was one aboard who was not touched
By the power of the storm,
They cried, "Lord, we perish!"
He awoke and to the storm He spoke these words:
"Peace, be still." I hear the Savior cry,
Winds and storms in my life will cease at the name of Jesus Christ;
Peace, be still I hear the Savior say,
Fear is gone, there is a calm when He says peace be still.
There's a peace that comes to me even in the darkest hours of my life,
A peace I can't explain, a peace that comes amidst the times of strife;
A gentle hand holds mine, arms carry me to places I can't climb,
I know there's only one who will lift me, who will hear my deepest cry.
"Peace, be still." I hear my Savior cry
