Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.

Here on earth our troubles seem to deepen,
And Satan keeps knocking at your door;
But there's one thing for sure and for certain,
Satan cannot enter heaven's shore.

When our journey to Heaven has ended,
And our Lord standing awaiting at the door;
With his hands out reached to bid us welcome,
"Welcome home my child your work is o'er."

We must work for the Master while we're living,
For we know not the time nor the place;
God will call us to make that great journey,
And we'll meet our dear Savior face to face.
