I CAN'T WAIT

I heard about the old Ship of Zion,
And I heard about the first flight out;
When I heard about the old, old story,
How Moses led that land of Egypt out.
And I heard about old David and Goliath,
And I heard about the sights John saw;
O but I believe the church still needs,
To be ready when the Father calls.
Oh what a day when the Father,
Says, "Son, go get your bride."
What a day when we see Jesus,
And with him we will abide.
Gates of Pearl, walls of Jasper,
Streets of Gold to walk on there;
Oh I just can't wait for that heavenly day,
When we meet Jesus in the air.
I can't wait to hear Gabriel's trumpet,
It's hard to wait for the final hour;
I can't wait to see my Jesus,
And to feel his holy power.
I remember the day that he saved me,
And he gave me peace within;
And I just can't wait for that heavenly day,
Till we meet in the air with him.
