You may wonder why I do what I do
And why I have given my life,
To serving Jesus and doing his will
Working for him day and night;
But I can't explain it it's simple but true
And I started what I do long ago,
When God made a change he made a difference
He placed his love deep in my soul.
A love down deep in my heart
That makes me want to shout and sing,
A peace that only the presence
Of Jesus can bring;
A joy that's been bubbling up
Ever since I made my new start,
It makes me want to tell everybody I see

Though I am unfit to be a servant
Jesus has made me an heir,
To an eternal kingdom way up in heaven
God has gone now to prepare;
That's why I serve him while there's still time
Before the day comes to depart,
And what keeps me going and so determined
