Historical Photos of Fallsbury Township

The Varner Family.




This photo was taken in 1921 at a birthday party in Fallsburg for the Gardner girl. The names are on the corner. Lola Wright married Fred Miles. Celia Pimm married Delmar Davis. Pearl Gearheart married Noble McArtor, Pearl was the daughter of Susan Nethers who married Andrew Gearhart residents of Reform. Susan Nethers married Alva Wright. Pearl Gearheart McArtor is the oldest in the photo. The little boy in the back is Kenneth Pound.




Elizabeth was the wife of Peter Varner of Fallsburg, from 1830 until her death in 1877 she is buried in the Cemetery at Fallsburg.




Peter Varner, husband of Elizabeth, was born 1791 in Virginia and married Elizabeth in Monongalia County Va (W.Va) in 1812 they came to Perry Twp. Licking County Ohio in 1815 and removed to Fallsburg Ohio in 1830 where he died in 1881. He is buried in Fallsburg Cemetery.




Peter Varner's Will.




This is William Gregg of Greggs Mill and Bridge, he married Mary Jane Hull #2 she was the daughter of William Hull and Sarah Martin Hull of Fallsburg, Ohio. Mary Jane was the sister to Lucy Frances Hull Varner Frost. William ran the Mill at the covered bridge.

John Wright & Oliver.




Mary Ann Cessna, wife of John Wright. At one time they were residents of Fallsbury Twp, later in Perry Twp. John owned farms is both townships. John was born in Coshocton County, Pike Twp. and Mary Ann was born in Bedford County Pa. and came to Coshocton Co with her parents brothers and sister.
