Other synchs to try

"Wizard Of Oz/Darkside Of The Moon version 2"

Just for fun, let the "Wizard of Oz" synch play through normally until it gets to the CD's end, then wait until Dorothy meets the Cowardly Lion and press play on the CD just as the Cowardly Lion starts to roar for the third time and see what happens. Although this synch is not as entertaining as the regular one there are still some coincidences that happen.

"Wizard Of Oz" synched with "The Wall"

Start "The Wizard Of Oz" and "Darkside Of The Moon" synch as you normally would, but instead of repeating it after the first play through, play Pink Floyd's "The Wall" album. To do this right, you need to wait exactly 10 seconds after "Darkside Of The Moon" ends, and then start "The Wall" album (disc 1). The synch starts out with The Tinman's movements matching perfectly with the drum beats of "In The Flesh". The lyrics: "So ya though ya might like to go to the show, to feel the warm thrill of confusion, that space cadet glow" is sung as Tinman start to dance around. Notice that Dorothy and Scarcrow are watching as if they were at "the show", plus Tinman's suit kinda resembles a "space" suit. The synch works really well until you get to track 3, then it takes awhile for it to pick back up again. The guy who e-mailed us about this synch seems to think it was done on purpose by the band, but we really doubt it. But it's still interesting none the less.

"Various Fantasia/Pink Floyd synchs"

There are various ways to synch different Pink Floyd CD's with the Walt Disney Masterpiece "Fantasia".
synch 1 - Start "Darkside Of The Moon" when you first see the "Fantasia" logo appear. Let the CD play all the way through, and program your CD player on repeat.
synch 2 - Program Pink Floyd's CD "Meddle" to play track 6 {"Echoes"], then 1{"One of These Days"}, then 2 {"A Pillow of Winds"}, then 3{"Fearless"}. Start the music when you see the conductor disappear while the screen is red (this happens twice in the movie...do it on the first time). Then, just sit back and enjoy the show.
synch 3 Using the same program as synch 2(above), start the music when the red smoke turns to blue clouds and you see the first sparkle of animation. This synch is Ted's favorite of all the "Fantasia" synchs. The music of track 6("Echoes") matches the first segment of animation very well. Then, when Mickey Mouse comes in it really gets weird. In one part you see Mickey getting drug around in the water by the walking broom, at the same time you hear water on the CD, and every splash Mickey makes matches perfectly.
synch 4 - Start Pink Floyd's CD "Wish You Were Here" the moment that you see the tip of the castle on the first Disney logo screen. This synch works with the first song,"Shine On You Crazy Diamond",really well, but the rest is only mediocre.

"2001: A Space Odyssey/Echoes"

This is yet another unbelivable synch and Steve's favorite. To do this synch you need to pause Pink Floyd's "Meddle" CD on track 6. Now fast foward the movie to the last segment titled "Jupiter And Beyond The Infinite". Unpause the CD player as soon as the screen goes black, right before the title "Jupiter And Beyond The Infinite" appears on the screen.

We agree that this synch is one of the best yet. The section of the movie that the song synch's to starts out with a large black panel of some kind( The Monolith) floating through space leading the astronaut to the signals he has been getting from space, which he thinks is an alien but it is not (lyrics from "Echoes" = "and do I take you by the hand, and lead you through the land, and help me understand the best I can").As he journeys through space a group of mysterious lights pass him by, matching perfectly with the music playing. (lyrics from "Echoes" = "and no one knows the where or why's, but something stirs and something tries and starts to climb towards the light"). As the astronaut gets closer to his destination and flies closer to the surface of the planet, the music fades and all you hear is a shrieking echoing sound, matching the scenery in this new world. By the time the music slowly fades back in you are seeing the astronaut in some kind of a building looking at what seems to be an older version of himself. (lyrics from "Echoes" = "strangers passing in the street, by chance two seperate glances meet, and I am you and what I see is me"). The song ends as soon as the credit for Stanley Kubrick appears on the screen.
