Music Review

The following albums are brand-spanking new albums. There's a possibility they could be the artists best record. Or they could win some Grammy's! You should check into them!

Eric Clapton & B.B. King - Riding With The King

While no one would deny that music can affect people, it's not often that it can make them question their religious convictions. But listening to this album, one can't help but wonder: If Eric Clapton is God, and he's inspired and influenced B.B. King, what does that make King? It's worth pondering as one listens to this engaging album, on which the two blues masters trade licks on a couple of B.B.'s originals as well as such covers as Bill Broonzy's "Key to the Highway" and Isaac Hayes' "Hold on I'm Coming." As with Clapton's equally impressive From the Cradle collection, some tunes are a bit upbeat and overly slick, but there are some truly inspired moments -- most notably the aforementioned covers -- when the dynamic duo strips things down to an almost Robert Johnson level of rawness. Granted, it may not answer the religious question, but it will make the pondering that much sweeter.

Various Artists - Coyote Ugly Soundtrack

The soundtrack has different music genres. "Can't Fight The Moonlight" by LeAnn Rimes is that unofficial theme. Also, early 90's songs such as "The Power" by Snap and "Need You Tonight" by INXS. Hey I thought Tara Maclean would make an appearance?

Moby - 1993-98 Songs

The "Voodoo Child" has once again come out with another collection of song. Last time was 89-93. This time around it's 93-98. "I Like To Score" is probably one of the most recognized of the songs. With it's house sound. "God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters" and "When It's Cold I'd Like To Die" are other songs that were orignally from the 1995 smash album "Everything Is Wrong".
